I was reading one of the posts and someone was suggesting flaxseed, fish, 'sea vegetables' as a good source of iodine and also this person said to use 'Soy' products. I'm confused as my Endocrinologist told me that soy will enhibit the absorbtion of Levothyroixine. Any thoughts on this?
I was diasnoised with Celiac at age 2 and I am lactose intolerant so soy is the only sourse I can use so my list of allowable foods is very slim.
I also have been fighting this thyroid thing for four years and STILL do not feel good. My vitamin D was very low so I am taking 5000 units a day...worked for about a week but now I am back to sleep a lot. I also have Fibromyalgia...yes...I am almost 60 yrs old but I never thought life would be like this. There is no quality...I just exist!
