Some of the tendons on the back of both of my hands have been displaced. Also, there is something else in my hands that has shifted. If you follow the link below, it will take you to my website, where I have a diagram showing this other thing that has moved. I don't know the name.

A little over a year ago, I was playing badminton in gym class, and I stressed out my hands. Ever since then, the extensor for my little finger has been displaced, and it affects my ring finger's extensor tendon (back of the hand). It shoves over about 1 cm down from the knuckle, and from there on it is colliding with the tendon for my ring finger. Now, my ring finger is being pushed against my middle finger. This is for both of my hands!
I now have pain when I type or mouse, write or draw, or hold anything heavy. My grip strength is shot, my ring finger and little finger have little to no strenght. It hurts if I try to hold something to tight, or apply force to anything.
In addition, I have bits of numbness in my fingers (the sides) and parts of my hands. I went to see a nerve specialist, and they found nothing. It has been getting worse and worse, and I have no clue what to do. Does anyone know what is going on, and possibly how to solve it?
It is very important that I get my hands fixed. If I don't, it will destroy my schooling and even my future career (can't write exams, papers or type/mouse without pain..) I've looked into surgeries, but I can't find anything.
I can't seem to get any answers.. any and all help would be apprecieated.
same problem I am suffering.
i had the same thing for about five months, got tdrunk, slipped in the rain, puched the pavement at the last moment to protect myself just before hitting the ground. though i broke my ring finger, the x ray looked good, but lost my strength and the knucked looked a littleflasttend after it healed, there was a lump between my ring finger and middle finger that gave rise to my suspision that cartilage or something had torn and shifted.. finally may have figured it out, i was able to push it back on top of the knucle recently i thing, looks and feels better.. the pushing was done on the finger, not on the back of the palm, in my case.. at the base of the finger, you may have to, try different positions, to feel the lump, u may recall the pain of the initial injury as u get it, then push it back and hold it for a few hours and replace as neccesary... , its been 2 days, seems to be staying in its track now.. good luck
