Is there something wrong with my social mentality? I am a 17 year old female and I am unable to relate with people at all past clinical observation. I feel vey little compassion towards others and avoid socialising because I tend to consider my peers to be inferior. I am however very polite to everyone because I can see the benefits of the actions. I have no friends, but I can see the physical, mental and emotional advantages to having people to rely on, however I put no effort into making or keeping friends because I see them as a waste of time and far too much effort. I hate parties and social gatherings. I can admit all of this easily enough, should I be concerned that I don't get along well with others?

Hallo Ammit, the most important thing I would advise you is asking yourself two questions:1st: The way you behave is causing you some emotional pain or it makes you happy? 2nd: If would be something very normal to you why do you think you are looking for help here? The simple fact that you ask yourself about it, makes me think that you are anyway not very comfortable with this situation and that’s a very good reason to look for help. The best help you can get is from a psychologist who will get to know you better and understand the underlying reasons for your behavior.
