Yesterday , while masturbating , my hands got full of blood from a tear in the penis frenulum. I am 26/Male/Virgin from India. :-( .During erection my glans are fully visible , but frenulum is quite tight - hard to imagine getting a hand job / sex - as further retracting of skin doesnt seem possible. In fact I feel had the frenulum not been there , the erection would have been a lit more taller.

As per my research there seems to be no disadvantage at all of frenuluplasty. We shall not talk at all circumsicion - a different story altogether. Not getting the entire foreskin removed , only the frenulum since it is becoming tight and may become a problem during sex and limits masturbation.

Also there is no clear difference between frenoctomy and frenuloplasty. Please advise which is better , and are surgeons capable of differentiation and performing it. I guess , since circumsion is quite a common operation - finding a surgeon to do frenuluplasty may not be very difficult here in India.

As such , from a very conservative family and not pro-surgeries of any sort. But I guess this rectification is not optional , but a necessity. I plan , in case I do proceed , to get the operation done in the morning and quietly return home by evening - not telling anyone about it. Will it be possible to let it remain un-disclosed.

Hi,

A frenulectomy is the REMOVAL of a frenulum.  A frenuloplasty is the alteration of a frenulum.  There is a difference.

See a urologist.  They are your best resource as they specialize in the male reproductive system.  We can't advise you without an exam.

Both procedures can be done in an office visit, by the urologist.  They are fairly simple procedures, done under local anesthetic.  You'd be home in a couple of hours at most.  There may be some discomfort.

Hope it helps.
