Do parent's really love their children the same? Because I don't feel like they do!

Well just because I'm a teen and have no one to vent to, doesn't give me the right to take my frustration out on you. But I learned from that one! And I promise to never ever do that again! But thanks! Okay...moving on...

Standing up to my dad though is scary! He would most likely hurt me! One time my brother skipped school and did drugs, well my mom found out but tried to hid it from my dad, but then somehow my dad found out and he like beat my brother up. That was one scary week!!!! Which was so hypocritical because my dad always told us stories of him skipping school and I know he did drugs. He's a nice guy, but you don't ever want to make him angry! we've fought a lot before, because I would stand up to him with things, and things he would say to my mom I would stand up for her, but I paid for it.

I watched some of Big Brother, I missed a few episodes. Did they revel who the saboteur is yet? You know another amazing show? Teen Mom!! its coming back either tonight or next week or something. Maci is a great mommy and her son is so adorable! His daddy is hot too but a complete ass. Whats True Beauty? LOL Did you just type Maury Povich? XD He turned into another Jerry Springer.

Sorry honey I didn't know that your dad is violent! So DON'T do what I said with that! As I know first hand NOT to poke the sleeping bear! It is VERY hypocritical of him to say those things though!

Also I think that either the blonde girl and the black girl are good friends, OR the blonde girl and the chemist - with the hots for the other guy! I watched last year non stop! I LOVED Jeff and Jordan and then they went on my favorite show - Amazing Race!

I LOVE teen mom! I am usually crying! The couple that gave up their daughter, they are SO cute! Maci's a good mom, as is the bigger girl! the one that bugs me is Sophias mom! It's liek GROW UP and STOP being so selfish!

Yes I watch MP and I can NOT believe these girls are on there saying "YO I know I know who my baby daddy is!!! - it's 1 of these 13 boys!!!" then it turns out to be Number 14!!!!!! ;-) XD

Well...he's never hit my mom ever that I know of...he has hit my brother before and me once maybe...but you can tell he like wants to hit you when hes pissed, but instead he will just trash the house or something and slam everything and make it known hes pissed. The one time with my brother was really really bad! My brother walked out and my dad did hit him in the face, but he also was angry with my mom for other stupid c**p so he took it out on the house and my broke an expensive guitar he had in half...but he has more, and my poor mom couldn't do anything. Sometimes he will want to hurt my dog but I NEVER let that happen and will always step in front, I LOVE animals and hes so innocent and ovbiously out of nature will defend himself and then that pisses my dad off more and blah blah blah and he knows if he touches my dog I will never speak to him again.....but thats just every now and then not regular or anything when it gets bad. But he does get angry every now and then but its nothing just normal stuff, but thus me thinking they have male PMS! But when things are good you try to keep them good.

That really sucks then!! but at least they have another twist. I love amazing race too! They had a girl from Big Brother on ther before too and some people from survivour.

I cry too! I can never rewatch the episode where they give their baby girl up. Hes such a good boyfriend, and shes so nice too. Its so sad. Ya Amber is a good mom too but theres a lot of faighting and childish stuff in front of the baby, but she really is trying her best and has no support and a lot on her hands. Ya I can't stand Farrah!! way too ungreatful.

Years ago there was a gross MP where this girl had a list of guys she slept with, and none of them were the babies daddy, and then she came back on the show with more people and even those boys weren't the babies daddy. Thats sooooo disgusting!! The poor baby!

Sounds like your dad has a temper issue! Actually a lot of the problems in the house are probably from his and your moms dynamic! Your dad seems to really attack the people that are aggravating him! My dad was the same, He NEVER hit me when he was drunk, Everyone else YES! IF he had ever tried to hurt my dog, i would have probably attacked him! ALL addicts might have a crutch, BUT that doesn't take away personal responsibility!

Since there is this violence in your home, this explains a LOT of you hiding internally! Why would you put yourself out there, in such a violent circle?

Ya, its hard to catch a lot of the shows, like I will see some of the episodes but not all of some shows and I hate that, but i'd rather miss some and be with my friends.

Ya, a temper issues would be good to say. But I know he does try, and hes not like his dad so thats a good thing. My parents are the complete complete opposites!! It's the weirdest thing!! My dad likes rock music, my mom like country. My dad plays the guitar, my mom the piano. My mom loves animals too, my dad not so much lol he does love my dog but he could be nicer to him at times, but I watch his every move with him. He brakes the law, my mom abides by it. My mom can't take a joke, thats all my dad does and vis versa. I don't get it, but I guess they do love each other. Opposites attract I guess. But how are the problems in the house from their dynamic? %-)

I wouldn't call in violence in the home, it only happens like a few times a year, like 1-2 when its really really bad, but him being grummpy like once a month, thus the PMS! But its not anything major. Just stay in your room for a day or two and all will be good. My poor mom though... :-( She can be something else but I do feel bad for her at times, because she does try to please everyone. Everything explains a lot of to why i'm to myself and talk to you, and don't tell them anything, and I try so hard to never be like them, well not completely, everyone has their good stuff too and their good stuff is too, but their bad is just blah. You just basically said the dynamic! IT is about Keeping the piece and not saying anything or verbalizing!For you dad to blow - once in awhile - means there is tension somewhere, that he props up or keeps back by smoking weed! Aslo IF he is addicted to weed, he will be a REAL you know what, when he is off it! A dear friend of mine had a $300 a week habit, we didn't know! And when he wasn't smoking up BOY OH BOY!! So it took a threat of my girlfriend leaving him, with their son, for him to get help and get off of it! It took awhile for the real guy to reappear, but he did it!

And YES guys get a sort of "time of the month" You should track it on a calendar! We forget that men/boys have hormones too!

Ya I guess there is tension, like one little thing and my moms like "whats wrong, what do you need" its so pathetic! I'm pretty sure hes not addicted to it, but he could be doing it elsewhere who really knows, but every now and then I know he does it.

I don't know if there's a time difference between us, but where I live its on at 10:00pm, it might be on again tonight or something. I'm not really sure about repeats, sometimes I catch them randomly but I don't think its on in the day, but it might be. You can try watching it online, my friend does, but my computer won't let me because I live in Canada and their from the states, which is dumb. Ya I don't really remember those girls, all I know is I didn't care for any of them really, but these ones I love!!

okay, i checked and its on at 15:00 (so 3:00 tomorrow) and 21:00 (whatever that is lol) but its on now :-D it was a sad one!!

Well Bambi, today is my dad's "time of the month!" great start to the day! Means I can't say anything to him, and have to stay in my room with my dog and listen to him...creates some stress! My parents are off this week and my dad is pissed for no reason, but the same damn stupid little thing every time! Hes pissed at my mom and the world, ya that's fun, and then it turns to me and every little thing I do and then my dog. Yeah, its so fun over here right now! I really want to just leave and go to a friends house, but I can't leave my poor dog here by himself. And it doesn't help when hes afraid to go outside and can't walk for very long. Watch, later hes going to be pissed at whats for dinner, even though its his favourite. And then I get to watch my mom tip toe around every little thing she does and then try to suck up to him to make him happy, I wish she wouldn't and would just leave him to be an ass, and do her own thing because she doesn't deserve this. >:( :'(

Bare with me with my explanation! You are MAD at your mom for not standing up to your dad right? So WHY are you doing the same thing? Think about it! You are ALL victims of his uncontrollable anger!

My dad was a VERY VERY violent drunk, beating up my mom and my sister! BUT because he never hit me and we were very close, I used to think it was THEM that pushed him too much, kind of like "MOM why did you say that to him, you know it makes him freak out?" All the while letting my dad off the hook for his HORRENDOUS actions! So one night my dad was SO drunk he could barely stand and was in a VERY evil mood! My sister came in from her late shift, and was making a fried egg for herself! Dad went to the kitchen and slurred out "GIVE ME THAT!" My sister said "No! I'm hungry, I haven't eaten ALL day!" THEN I heard the wind being punched out of her lungs and her dropping to the floor! He had punched her SO hard in the chest, that I'm surprised she wasn't killed! My mom screamed he turned to her and POW she was down! In that second, I was at the kitchen door and I looked in horror at the devestation of my mom and sister lying on the floor screaming in pain! My dad could barely focus on me, so I shouted "Right you F****** B, LETS DANCE!" He was trying to come towards me, I grabbed a 7 up glass bottle and hit him with everything I had in me! He fell backwards into the pantry and I though I had killed him! He stayed there ALL night! I went to bed as did we all! The next morning NOTHING was said! No Apology! No Anger NOTHING! Because the 2 women were afraid of it happening again! So this man was left with just a bruise on the head and No SHAME! I was SO disgusted and mortified that we had to deal with this, I moved out shortly after! I had enough of the pretend family, the bruises the horror and the shame! I was disgusted that EVERYONE accepted his "Drunken outbursts" And I swore that this would NEVER happen to me, and other than a few jerk boyfriends it hasn't

My husband has NEVER laid a hand on me, and I think would be too terrified to do so! I always say to my friends that if my husband ever hit me, I told him to make sure I didn't get back up or it would be lights out!

So I TOTALLY understand your rage, BUT it is at the wrong person - your mom! And with her actions, she is either a placater, OR she is truly terrified of him! Do NOT engage with him Claire! BUT IF it gets too much you leave there OK? And don't worry about your dog, they are pretty resilient beings! And IF he hurts him, that will be on his shoulders for ALL time! With rage and threats, we ALL do something different then we really WANT to do, and it is frustrating too us and we lash out at the innocent, because we are too scared to lash out at the guilty! I am TOTALLY WITH you today Claire - been there done that a THOUSAND times! So hang in there kiddo!

I'm not mad at my mom for not stand up to him, we all know what would happen if she really said what was on her mind, so I'm kind of glad she isn't doing that. But I'm mad at her for trying to cater to him to make him happy, like just leave him alone. Because either way he's going to be mad and nothing anyone does will change anything. Everything will just make everything worse, so to me I say just leave him alone. And I know when my brother comes home and realizes hes in a mood he's going to be pissed too, and may or may not say anything to him. I don't know. This day sucks! But I really am not really mad at my mom, I'm pissed at my dad for being an ass for no reason! And I hate that he has to slam everything and be an ass to my mom who did nothing! I even got in trouble for being too long in the bathroom. We only have one, and before I took a shower I asked if anyone needed it, and they said "NO" so I took a shower and did my hair and then got yelled at because I took to long when he needed it. Like seriously.

I can't leave my baby, God forbid my dad lay a hand on him, and then my dog would fight back and then my dad would be pissed at my dog for doing what he should do.
