Does weight lifting stunt a teenager’s growth? The answer to this question is debatable; you will find reasonings to both the negative and positive of it. Many believe it does, many do not. However in any case teenage is the only time you get to grow, thereafter you have no option. Thus I feel, it’s not worth the risk. There are some special exercises which are believed to contribute more to stunted growth; you can take the help of a good physical trainer to ensure that you are doing the correct kind of exercises.

i started lifting about 6 months ago and my height and muscles both grew in size. I was 5,7 135 and now im 5,10 165 and im still growing fine. so i dont think that lifting stunts your growth.

alot of it depends on how far along in puberty you are. If you are an early bloomer, your growth has a better chance of stunting. but if you're a late bloomer, i would be cautious

stunts only means you grow slower, it deosnt completly stop your growth. i am 13 and have been lifting weights for 2 years now and i have gotten so much stonger, i am now able to lift 162 lbs. so keeps going with it, but remember to have break days where you do no wieghts.

As long as the weight as proper and your form is correct, I believe you should be alright.
