I would like to hear someone who had experience with anorectic patients. My daughter is 17 year old and what I thought was nothing but a teenage look obsession turned out into anorexia. Well, she is not sick skinny, but she is going that way and I am so concerned that the therapies will not help. All I want to now for now is – does anorexia lead to fatal end?
I will tell you that there are some problems that might occur because of anorexia. The main problem is because of the disturbed balance of electrolytes in the organism, especially potassium. This can lead to serious heart problems if it left unattended and sometimes it can end tragically. You have to persuade her that to accept the therapy, both psychological and physical before the problem escalates any further.

Hello there,

It is very hard to fight against anorexia, especially when our kids are surrounded with beautiful and skinny top models. Somehow the rule the skinnier the better has become the only thing that matters in this world lately.

If you want to save your daughter you need to take some serious measures. At the moment it would be enough if she understands that obsession with looks can lead her to death and you together with her therapist need to convince her to start to eat.  If it is possible isolate her from her friends who share her opinion about looks but instead try to surround her with normal girls who are beautiful and not obsessed to be skinny. I hope that she will manage to defeat anorexia.
