And I suggest don't eat much sweet food. :-)

Diets are 'temporary', products taste like $%it! Horrible.
Once again it brings me back to the simple, obvious truth..
BALANCE. Eat healthy and exercise. This is a complete, utter, overpriced waste of money and time.

I can give you the firsthand opinion of someone on the program... I am on the 30 day program right now with my sister. I'm 24, she is 21. We both work out regularly and I have been with a personal trainer for over a year where I only lost 10 lbs, when we figured out I don't uptake insulin which is a big issue. My moms cousin convinced us to try this saying the program would help my issues (since it's meant for diabetics) and we would both lose tons of weight. We started last Tuesday and figured out quickly that the shakes taste like sawdust (don't tell me they don't... you can add all the extra fruit you want, they are gross). The shot you take everyday is 10 times worse then Buckleys and this program makes you hungry ALL THE TIME!
I am still willing to see it thru to the end since it was so expensive... so we tried the cleanse yesterday. Both of us ended up feeling sick and tired all day and had to give in and eat something in the evening. You cannot live off of 160 calories (or 250 including the chalky "snacks") for an entire day! that is 10 times less then anorexic levels! This cleanse did not make us feel better, I gagged every time i had to drink the stupid thing (and yes I watered it down). Yea I feel less bloated- because i have little to no food in my digestive tract, of COURSE I am going to feel less bloated. We are following this to a T, we are NOT cheating. Mainly it's water weight you lose.
Unless we are missing something big, I don't see how this would benefit anyone who is already following a healthy diet and exercising. I could see how it would benefit someone eating c**p all the time, because it forces you to stop eating badly and to drink tons of water (both can be done without spending $400 on this 30 day program)... however if you go back to eating c**p you will put on all the weight you lost plus more which is actually more unhealthy then if you never lost the weight in the first place.
I tried this product for 9 days and did lose about 4 pounds but did not enjoy or feel well especially during the cleanse days. I felt very weak and unwell. They seem to concentrate on the fact you lose some inches as well. Without telling my doctor what I was doing except it involved a 'cleanse' she said it was mostly due to losing fluid. For awhile I used the shakes each morning instead of my cereal and one more time I tried the Cleanse. I couldn't complete it because I felt too dizzy and unwell. My friend has been on it for months and while she is happy about her weight loss she is convinced she has to now stay on the shake days most days, a cleanse once a week and now is buying a liquid green drink which they tell her is full of all the minerals and vitamins she needs, instead of worrying about real vegetables and fruit....and if people ask her to tell them she is doing the right thing. She is so afraid of gaining the weight back she won't stop using Isagenix and I am worried because she has problems with her health. But she puts a guard up anytime I suggest she eat more 'real' food. She thinks her small portions of one meal a day plus her shakes are enough. I'm afraid the people that sell it are too pushy especially when they encounter an 'easy mark'.
To those of you who have responded re: Isagenix, I thank you for your comments as I truly believe that what works for some....doesn't necessarily work for everyone, and I can totally appreciate that. If I may, I would like to provide you with some information that may help you. First of all, I don't know if you were coached through your 30 days or as well, the person who did the 9 day program. Coaching is essential as you often don't understand what is going on....why you may feel hungry...why the shakes taste "disgusting", why you may have a headache, etc. I can only come from my own experience, so please bear with me as I explain what happens.
I clearly remember my first 3 days which was almost 4 years ago....I thought the shakes tasted disgusting, and it was all I could do to get them in me....but I did, because I knew that I was putting over 240 nutrients in my body each time I had one and that was far more nutrients than I had been getting prior to Isagenix. On the 4th day when I made my shake....the taste was completely different to me....it was AWESOME. I didn't realize at the time that being on 5 medications and having so many toxins in my body was the reason for this. And I was very toxic...not just from the foods that I had been consuming and the environment, etc; but also the toxicity from the chemicals that I was taking in the form of medication. My 1st cleanse day was very difficult, but I decided to stick with it because I knew I had to change my lifestyle of I probably wouldn't make it to my 65th Birthday. So stuck with it I did, and as time went by, my body adjusted to the massive doses of nutrients; and resting my body on a cleanse day became 2 days back-to-back; every other week regime that I looked forward to.
I should also mention that I didn't use fruit when I began, because I knew that Isagenix was a recipe that, if properly followed, would result in a good, healthy weight loss. And it did. But what I did do was to add less water and make my shakes very thick and creamy...and added a couple drops of pure mint extract to my chocolate, or pure almond extract to my vanilla. In the meantime....vanilla wasn't my choice of flavor as I am a chocolate kinda gal! Once I had released my weight, I then began adding about 8 pieces of frozen banana along with 1 tbsp. of organic peaanut butter....or about 6 chunks of frozen mango (which, believe it or not, is delicious with chocolate!) As well, Over the past 2 years I have substituted one scoop of my chocolate with 1 1/2 scoops of IsaPro......why? Because as we age, we lose muscle, so IsaPro has been helping me to rebuild my muscle mass.
I understand completely when you talk about the "expense" of Isagenix. Perhaps if you take a serious look at your expenses through any given day....coffees, snacks, lunches, more snacks, etc....it will surprise you just how much you spend on things that are not serving you well. I often say to people...."how much is your health worth to you?" Can you really put a price tag on it? Both my husband and myself have been doing Isagenix for almost 4 years and I can assure you that even though we spend a fair amount on these products....our grocery bill is WAY lower than it used to be and we both feel a lot healthier.
If you didn't have a good experience with Isagenix....please don't put it down in a negative manner. Remember...what works for some may not work for others. But one thing I will ask is that you do the following: 1) Have a positive Mindset. The Isagenix products are amazing and you WILL achieve your health goals. It’s easy if you think it’s easy! And 2) Follow our coaching. We work with other cleanse coaches who have coached hundreds of people to optimal health and it is our privilege to help you obtain yours.
We have a 6 year old Golden Retriever; Abby. I began giving her little sips of my shakes about 3 years ago. Over the past 2 years she has her own 4 oz vanilla shake for her lunch every day. She's a healthy, happy "puppy" who absolutely has benefited from all the nutrients that she gets from them. She gets so excited when she hears the blender because she loves her Isagenix Shake!
Blessings to all of you...and whatever you decide to do....give it 100% and do everything you can to MAKE it work for you!

I did another post but somehow it 'magically' disappeared. Who decides what goes on this site...Isagenix it seems
Negative comments have to be so it they are not positive. This is a review page after all.
Grocery bills will be lower if you are not buying 'real' food but instead spending it on Isagenix, shakes, cleanses, and vitamin supplements.
I was coached on my 9 day plan..but I think the representative from Isagenix was hoping that I would stay on it even though up front I said I did not want to...but get back to a healthy real food diet.
The word 'toxic' is used too much. I think the idea of such is overblowing people's minds to think we're a walking toxice timebomb.
Isagenix is basically another way to lose weight..and yes to show a way to eat healthy but it should not be something that you stay on indefinitely. We are meant to eat healthy well balanced meals not a shake once or most likely twice a day and one small real meal a day.
So yes it is not right for everybody or I would be bold enough to say anybody long term.

I just found your question, not sure if it was ever answered. But yes, it IS true if you stick to the program. The program is super easy and satisfying. I have shed 200 lbs in less than a year and a half on Isagenix. I coach people one on one and would love to help you get your product a wholesale and coach you to success!! ***this post is edited by moderator *** *** private e-mails not allowed*** Please read our Terms of Use

I lost 120lbs naturally over two years ago just by counting calories and exercise. However, I still didn't manage to reach my weight loss goal or a "healthy" weight. I have, however, been able to maintain my weight. I noticed a friend posting on facebook about her success with Isagenix and also a co-worker who periodically uses the 9 day cleanse so I decided to give it a try. I did not do the marketing thing for it to cost less. I wanted nothing to do with it. I am on day 4 (or 2 depending on if you count the two pre-cleanse days) and I am doing fine. Yeah, the Cleanse for life tastes like c**p but I just down it like a shot. The "snacks" aren't the greatest tasting thing but they do seem to fill me up. I am on the second day of cleanse in a row and I'm not dying, I'm not tired, I'm not sick. I'm doing fine. I think the shakes on shake days taste pretty bad too but I've found if I add more water and ice they aren't as bad. I weighed myself before I started and again this morning and I am down 4 lbs. I think that in order for this program to work you need to have the mindset to stick to it. I dieted for a year to lose weight and then maintained that weight, I know I have the mindset to stick with it. Am I looking forward to my one "real meal" tomorrow? Absolutely, but I got through yesterday and I'll get through today without cheating. Like any other diet, it works if you work it. I will only 2 the 9 days to drop weight and then go back ot my healthy diet.
