When I was younger I have been using narcotics, stuff like heroin was most dangerous. I have been to treatments and I am clean for almost 15 years now. Problem occurred when I got a strong gastro intestinal tract infection, so I had serious stomach cramps. Doctor prescribed me with Lomotil and I need to know does this drug contain opium?
All these drugs used for dealing with diarrhea, react with opium receptors. Highest possibility to get addicted is if you use opium in these situations, but today it is not used that commonly. Meds like Lomotil are used, which is a combination of diphenoxylate and atropine. It is also opioid, but does not induce addiction that easily.
No, but Lomotil is chemically related to Demerol and in fact is a powerful narcotic when used in high dosages.(20-40 tabs 2.5mg) so just take as prescribed up to 8 or so a day and you should be O.K.
One more point: when used with marijuana it's effects are greatly increased.
How many opioids (in %) are in 2.5 mg lomotil pills?
