Does methadone affect male fertility?

I was reading your post to the girl trying to have a baby who's boyfriend was on methadone. My son and his wife are trying to have a baby and he is on methadone, needless to say they are not having good luck. You said you had information on herbs, supplements and other things to help with withdrawal. Also did you take anything to strengthen your sperm? Any info is welcomed, thank you.

Hi :) your post is really interesting. My boyfriend has been on methadone for about 10 years. We really want a baby but he's not sure how to come off the drug. The Dr at the clinics in Ontario do not support patients coming off the drug. So screwed up. I'd like to know more about the natural remedies you were talking about. Please educate me and we'll give it a try. Detoxing off methadone and Ontario requires going to a private clinic and cost about 20 grand.

I know this post is from a very long time ago but if you have any suggestions on how to elevate withdrawal systems while coming down on methadone, or how to increase testosterone or sperm count while on methadone ( a high dose of 90mg a day through a mantainence program for 10 years now) I would greatly appreciate it!

I cold turkey detoxed off of methadone 3 months ago. I used fentanyl for 3 years before 18 months methadone maintenance and did a rapid withdrawal at home from 100mg dosing. I’m only 160 Lbs so it ripped my soul in two. I didn’t feel real withdrawal until day 6 of methadone cessation. It hit me like a train and jumped on me within an hour of runny eyes and nose and yawns. I laid on my kitchen floor for 18 days without food other than a half banana and a few sips of water or mountain dew (lol yeah mtn dew

I have plenty of info on this. Contact me if you want. Me and boyfriend did the same and I bought pills and they’ve been working for sperm motility mobility and density.

Just went through this. I was at 160 and wanted a baby. It’s been one of year of going to 160. Stabilizing on 160 and then this 3rd year I’ve tapered and I’m at 13mg. I want a baby and found great conception meds that had worked for a lot of ppl!
