I have not tried the method you are talking about but when I have an attack I drink 1/4 cup of apple cider vinegar and about 8oz of organic apple juice. It makes the pain go away in about 5-15 minutes every time.

The thing about gallbladders and the diet you are on will very between each person. Myself I can eat a ton of garlic but others can not. Citric acid bothers me more then others I've read about. Its a case by case diagnoses on what works for you. Myself,no alcohol bread and grains hurt me beyond anything else. May not bother you as bad. With my diet I stay attack free and have lost 100lbs in 4months time. And I do blnot take in any fat, dairy, grain, oil, anything that will trigger it. Baked chicken and turkey found a way to make mashed potatoes with no milk or butter and I eat a ton of none acidic fruits. Best of luck

I had actually gone to the doctor to see if that procedure was an option. unfortunately she told me there was no such procedure of getting them removed and that I had to either get my gallbladder removed or deal with it. My gallstones don't block my bile duct very often, last time I had a bad attack was 4 years ago, but I do still feel slight pains here and there or do get a minor attack which is irritating since Its not intolerable. Getting them removed without getting my whole gallbladder removed would be nice, however I don't know how to even get that option from my doctors... I would definitely go in for that procedure though if it was available to me, 15 minutes is perfectly fine with me!

I heard the same thing as I was now referred to a specialist to remove the stones. Dr also told me only to stay away from spicy food and fat. Said nothing about my beer intake

I saw a video about how what is flushing is the olive oil and not actual gallstones..you would have to do an ultrasound after to see if they are really gone or do lab work on what flushes

Hi, can I ask when everyone says ‘an attack’ what that actually means.
I had a scan a few weeks ago which showed quite a few large stones but also I was told I had a fatty liver!
I have a dull ache on my right hand sign just under my rib cage. Would you say this is caused by the gallstones or the liver?
Just be interested to know if anyone else has been told they have a fatty liver as I was told both problems can be related. Thanks

I was diagnosed a few months ago.
Never had any symptoms. Did some research and I find that 2 tbls of raw apple cider vinegar with 8 oz of organic apple juice in the morning keeps me from having any attacks. I stopped drinking liquor shortly before my diagnosis but I can have the occasional glass of wine without any problems.
