Hey there I just got my tonsils removed on the 9th of November and it is now day 6 I am having trouble sleeping at night for many reason one of them is a dry cough. I can't remember the last time I got a ful nights rest and now along with the cough my ears are throbbing in pain and sometimes I can't swallow my saliva so I have to spit it out in the sink and there seems to be more than usual I have my follow up Wednesday should I be concerned about of my of this?

Hi there. Even if I do believe that this is probably all part of the healing process, I think that you should definitely consult your doctor about this. Maybe something else is causing it and maybe you really will need a dry cough treatment. I know that after this procedure, you can deal with hose scabs starting to peel off and they can cause a dry cough. I do know this because I had the same issue. I was drinking water, tea, everything all the time because I believed that this will just go away. And it did, after a while.
