I currently have mono, I was diagnosed about 3 weeks ago. The first week I was sick, I had an extremely dry mouth in which I wasn't able to sleep. I would go through 3 water bottles or more at night because my mouth wouldn't produce saliva. now 3 weeks later, I'm feeling fine except my mouth will randomly get dry about once or twice a day. I am developing little sores on the tip of my tongue and when I look at the back of my tongue, I have red bumps that get pretty large at the back. I have never noticed these before. is this a normal symptom of mono???
Did you get these symptoms resolved? I would be interesting in learning the results.

I also have very similar symptons except I doubt that I have mono. I have dry mouth randomly, I have big bumps on the back of my tongue, tons of little(bigger than the norm) bumps on the front, I drink lots of water, I eat quite healthy, and what ever it is... apparently it causes really bad breath (which I currently have halitosis) and I know I do not have tonsilitis. It may always be a mystery.

I'm in the same boat.. and since EBV is a member of the herpesvirus family, it would add up.. However, I cannot say for sure. It may be an underlying health problem, something completely unrelated. My educated guess would say yes, but as I said before, I can't be completely sure..

same here. I was diagnosed 2weeks ago, & have recently formed large red bumps on the back of my tongue followed by smaller ones up to the middle of it. At first I was concerned that it could possibly be herpes or some other kind of disease, but now I'm sure it's from mono. Thanks for comforting me (:
