Hi, im 16 and have been having skin problems lately, i've developed dry skin flakes on my face maybe 11 months ago now and at the start it was just really slight on my forehead, i reckon it was because my mom put me onto using moisturizer on my face when it was normal and clear and maybe my skin was having allergy problems with it. I stopped using anything on my face about 7 months ago and about 3 months after not using anything on my face i started to develop seborrhea dermatitis i used steroid creams on my face for about 5 days along with face moisturizers but it made my skin look like i was always sweating and gave me pimples so i stopped using it after 3 weeks or so and it helped to get rid of the rashes on my face and dryness around my hairline. Generally speaking i still have little rash breakouts on my skin just randomly but never as bad as it was, just on my forehead and sometimes around my nose, its also not as tanned skin where all these areas of dryness are because generally i have brown skin. Also around these points of having dryness on my face i developed a red spot on my penis head (maybe allergy related) which got infected along with my foreskin and i used some otocomb ointment which got rid of the rash/infection. Now my penis head is dry and also my face is still dry on my forehead and spots around my nose and right cheek and gets irritated too easily. Even my skin in general around my body seems to have lost its life so to speak but not worryingly. I thought it was an internal issue and when i went to the doctors he said all this is normal and apart of being a teenager however i just dont see how its just an everyday thing, now i only wash my penis head with water and same with my face but they still get dry from being in water too long which i never had any issue with before all this. Sorry this is so much written but my skin keeps going through different stages so i have to go into detail about things.
Do any of you think it could be any of the following causing the dryness issues?
- under-active thyroid
- hormone imbalance/disorder
- diabetes
- immune system issue
- candida overgrowth
- Hypoparathyroidism
- Endocrine Disorders/disruption
- adrenal fatigue
thanks in advance.
