It's not always about how much you eat, but what you eat.  Talents start with the food pyramid.  This is not accurate.  You don't want the largest portion of your diet to consist of starches and carbohydrates.  Please see below. 

Protein - this should make up a large quantity of your diet.  Unit needs to be low healthier fat options. Join other words gold off on the red meats And choose the chicken, turkey and fish.  We still need fat, so do not go fat free, but eat the healthier fats, less trains and saturated fats.  The protein can come from other foods as well, but remember, you want pure undue natured proteins. 

Carbohydrates - Do not cut them out of your diet, but eat the proper tyPe.  Give up the white breads and rices.  They are considered simple carb. And are nutrient poor and turns directly to sugar.  Start eating the complex carbs which include the whole grain options like brown rice, quinoa, and whole grain breads.  

You want to lose weight faster, eat like a bird!  6 small meals a day, not 3 large meal.
