I am a mother of a teenage boy and would like to know as much as possible about drug called ecstasy. I trust my son when he tells me that he is not using anything, but I still can not stop with the worries. Any information will be helpful.

I understand that you are worried about your son. Being a parent to a teenager nowadays, when there are so many bad influences around them when they are growing up, is the hardest thing. Ecstasy is a synthetic psychoactive drug that possesses the stimulant properties of methamphetamine and hallucinogenic qualities most similar to mescaline. Ecstasy is a white crystalline powder in its purest form, with a musty odor. As a result of impurities, ecstasy can also have a reddish or brownish color. It usually comes as a tablet, capsule or in powder form. It can be taken orally and even be injected. Ecstasy damages brain cells, causing the nerve branches and nerve endings to degenerate. These cells then re grow abnormally, failing to reconnect to some brain areas. They can also connect elsewhere to the wrong areas. You need to keep talking to your son about the danger of drug abuse.
