I have an enlarged heart and have been power/race-walking now for some time but only for 1.5km per day.
However I have now increased this to 5km per day, this takes me approx 50mins to complete, there are a lot of hills.
I would like to know if others with enlarged hearts feel extreme exhaustion after exercise and the fact that it takes a good few hours to come right.
I have an excellent diet, and also take supplements, however I would like to know how to escape this period of recouperation every day, either with food or doing it differently.
I have had 5 cardiac arrests in the past, although this was some years ago which caused the enlarged heart.

I would suggest focusing one or two areas at a time. For now let's look at: nutrient intake and breathing(which may require some core strengthing and stability work).

How many carbs before exercise?
How many carbs after exercise?
What is your vitamin D intake per day?
What is you B vitamin intake?

Do you run on your toes or the balls of your feet?
How do you regulate your breathing during aeorobic exercise?

Just been told I have an enlarged heart and wish to know if it is safe to exercise - e.g. to play a round of golf?
