Lately, I have been experiencing pain in my testicle. After some time, I went to my doctor and he diagnosed me with epididymitis. I was so scared when he told me the news. Can this develop into cancer?

Epididymitis is an inflammation of the epididymis and often the testicle and it is not always accompanied by a urinary tract infection. But, in some cases it requires months of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs to control the pain. I can not give you proper advice without first examinig you. It is good that you went to your doctor. This way you know what is happening with you and you are being monitored by him. Also, I can not tell you if it will develop into cancer, it is something that your doctor can tell you. Unfortunately, testicular cancer is often first diagnosed as epididymitis. The reason for this is that they have similar symptoms of scrotal swelling and sensation of fullness. It is normal that you are worried and thinking that something could go wrong but if your doctor told you that it is epididymitis, then you have nothing to be afraid of. I am sure that everything will be ok.
