Hi. I'm very unfortunate young man male. I am only 19 but I have big skin problems. You see, since I was 14 year old I am having big problems with skin acne.
Most of them are located on my face and because of this I have lost my self confidence and got terrible scars on my face. But you haven’t heard it all. About three days ago a terrible red formation appeared on my face and it was very itchy, painful, hardened, swollen and warm.
I'm planning to see a doctor over this because it really looked terrible. A friend told me that he suspect it could be erysipelas. Is this something serious?
Well, I was diagnosed with erysipelas about two months ago and I have recover from it quite well. Erysipelas is in fact simple bacterial infection. In most cases it is caused by group A beta-hemolytic streptococci.
You had almost every condition to develop this condition because this bacterium is entering through small injuries on skin, like the ones from acne. Very often this condition is accompanied with hi body temperature and fever.
You shouldn’t wait a minute longer because if you suspect erysipelas, you should always call your doctor. Usual treatment involves Penicilin, Erythromycin, Flucloxacillin or even Benzylpenicillin injection.
In a few weeks it will be as nothing of this really happen.
