Hi I'm a 16-year-old girl,I've been having trouble for the past four years with what everybody thinks is photosensitive epilepsy But the doctors are not quite sure I've had at least 3 EEGs and one EKG And every time I get one it all comes back negative The symptoms I have are usually with flashing lights and patterns like stripes. Whenever this happens I get this weird pain/ funny feeling in my stomach and my eyes (mostly my left) will go partially white but I can still see up at the top corner(that usually lasts about 2 to 3 minutes) Those are just the signs of before it starts when it's happening I start to shake and become unconscious after that I have no idea what happens the last time this happened there were no flashing lights none at all I was in my class just doing everything I was supposed to do and then all of a sudden I got that pain/ funny feeling in my stomach The next thing I know the bell rings and I go to my next class feeling kind of okay but still not hundred percent when I get to my class I start to cry and faint and I and up getting carried down to the clinic by my teacher and one of my friends afterwards the whole website of my body was numb. I have two types of medicine that I'm on but it's not for every day use it's only for when I have a trigger but I would like to know what's going on with me and my mom is very curious as well the doctors can't figure it out. I'm just wondering does anybody have the same symptoms or the same things going on with them. It would be really nice to know and see if you have either been diagnosed or knows what is wrong. It would help.

I am sorry to hear about your difficulty getting the answers you are looking for. Have you been to see a specialist like a neurologist or has it just been to your family doctor?  It seems that you should be on a medication that you would take on a regular basis to help prevent this type of seizure activity.  You should go to a neurologist (or a different one if you have seen one) and get to the bottom of your problem.  I am sure there are other people in the same boat as you and have the appropriate diagnosis and treatment available to them. I wish you good luck in finding it.
