50 years ago, aged 28 I had my gall bladder removed and was left with 12 inch vertical cut. I recovered reasonably well. I was very active and sporty and doing lots of walking and cycling. Occasionally, from then, I would have pain in AB muscles when very active. Over the years this pain gradually increased until 15 years ago the muscle pain was so vicious, the muscle would be so tight I could not move. After short rest it would ease. Then I would move and the pain and tightness would build up again. Gradually the pain free time decreased.
I have consulted many many, many healthcare professionals but to no avail. I had Rt Hip replacement - no different. Broke Lt hip replaced and 2 ops to repair torn abductor - no different. A neurosurgeon said it was coming from my spine so I had a fusion L5-T9. ( a huge op). After recovering, imagine my horror when I started moving again, that I still had the same pain. Consulted many more specialized health professionals but no one can give a diagnosis. My Abs don't work at all. All the exercising only hurts and no help! I cannot turn in bed, if I bend over I lose balance, and cannot stand long, affects my singing? Losing muscle tone from my leg muscles through under use!
Leaning on my elbows the only relief from pain I get. Using a forearm walker with 4 wheels I can actually run pain free. A great freedom but very impractical!
I would like a diagnosis? Who do I go to? Any Ideas PLEASE?
