The ovary is what releases the hormones. Not the tube. I also lost a tube to an eptopic pregnancy and asked why they left that if it was of no use. And the dr said that's where a woman's hormones come from

I have both tubes removed while having a C-section with my 2nd child in 2010 - since I stopped breastfeeding and my period returned my monthly symptoms are worse than before - I never suffered much PMS - now my cycle is much heavier than ever before as well my bloating, irritability and back pain is significant - this has been going on for 8 months now and I have yet to find a good med to help ease the symptoms.

I have my tubes removed 3 weeks ago, getting better but notice of bloating in my left side. If I sit and sleep on my back I felt like a ball of air just under my left rib. If I sleep in any side and standing not bloated. I try to burb and drink tea does not help. I'm seeing my gyne next week for my last check up.

I don't know if it was me or if I was just wanting to get pregnant, but I said I wanted to get pregnant durring a month and I had the ovulation sticks and saw when I was ovulating...then buduh bing budda boom. First try!

Im trying to figure out if I had my tubes tied back in 2009, and recently I had my left tube and ovary removed. Now are the remaining tube and ovary on my right side still tied or not?

IVF is the only option to have your own child if both tubes are removed. adoption is another if you dont mind not sharing biology.

hi.  I had one of my fallopian tubes removed via laproscopy one week ago.  Does anyone know what the average recovery time is.  I am not really sure when i should go back to work.  I am still very sore.

Thanks.

im about to get my fallopian tubes to be removed, but will be leaving my ovaries in. if you leave your ovaries alone, and only remove the tubes, hormones will not be affected.

I do, you may want to seek a replacement hormone therapy. Fallopian tubes are an important hormone regulator. When you have them removed hormone's go crazy. Seek advice from your doctor about getting on some Estrogen because now your body is going to be low on it and that could cause early menopause.

Hi Kim,

I'm curious about your response. Everything I read said that it the ovaries and not the tubes that produce hormones. Do you have a website you could direct me to ?
