Was this just from the surgery though? Could it not also have been due to having children, or lifestyle changes?

I am going through the same situation. I gained 6kg of extra weight 6months after removing both fallopian tubes. I wish to know why and how to get rid of this access weight as I eat healthy and do exercise too. Any answers please?

I hope somehow this person sees this and replies (or really anyone else): I'm in a similar situation and the timing is almost exact. I had my baby girl in December 2013, and my baby boy in July 2015. I was blessed to have even one child, because my fertility diagnosis was bad! They didn't think I would conceive at all without IVF. God had other plans. The reason BOTH my tubes are removed (about a month ago) is because I had prolapse repair surgery, and I said I was done trying to have children (two healthy babies, and I'm 42). They also were doing this because of the cancer/tube connection. I regret my decision now...I don't know why exactly. I mean, we could try for another baby if we had the money for IVF (which we do not). I guess it's just psychological, because even though no menopause essentially child-bearing is over. I wish I had just asked for an IUD. Any encouraging words or advice?

Ive read that having tubes removed affects the blood supply to the ovaries which will affect hormones. It says it's not known how !such each woman will be affected as it would depend on her anatomy. Apparently some women don't have much if any blood supply to ovaries from tubes & fimbriae so thus removing tubes could cause ovaries to atrophy over time. This would cause menopause eventually. The hormone fluctuations would be apparent earlier tho. I have to say I for one am so angry that I wasn't told this by either dr. I just had this done. Both tubes removed a month ago. I'm feeling sad that I may likely have hormonal issues(think i already do). & My relationship is dissolving now. I'm 42 with 2 kids already but always thought I'd have 1 more. Found out I have a genetic syndrome and ms so hubby and I discussed to not get pregnant. He was to have vasectpmy but then refused so it was suggested due to my health I should get fixed. Dr said tubal removal was better for lower cancer odds. If I go into premature menopause that will cause a lower cancer protection!! Whats more I read it can affect immune system negatively and I have an autoimmune disorder. Ugh! It should be illegal for drs to practice if they don't tell their patients the risks beforehand! Apparently its very common not to tell patients the full risks of tubal removal. I did Google info but it didn't show up either. So now I guess I'll have to look into bioidentical HRT and progesterone cream. I regret my decision to have them out.

Correction ; *Apparently some women don't have much if any blood supply to ovaries from *uterus so thus removing tubes &fimbriae could cause ovaries to atrophy over time.

I had "Essure" put in back in 2011 (a birth control if some people never heard of it) I've been in non-stop pain since and the pain varies. There's times it hurts but I can tolerate it, there's times it hurts so bad it makes me want to fall to the floor, there's times it feels like I have a knive inside me just stabbing away. I could go on with the pain. Well last Tuesday (11-15-16) I had surgery to have the "Essure" removed because it was NOT were it was supposed to be. Dr said there was no choice, I had to have Iuremoved. Well when I woke up from surgery the Dr told me that he had to remove Both my tubes. I am not 100% why he removed my tubes because I didn't think I had anything wrong with my tubes when he saw me last. My husband and I were going try to have a baby after I healed up from my "Essure surgery" and now we can not try. I had no idea my tubes were being removed. And now my husband and me lost ANY chance of becoming pregnant. I feel sorry for any Women that has "Essure" in. It could have killed me so please, whoever has this "Essure" in for Birth Control then PLEASE talk to your Dr and have it removed Immediately. It's not good to have this.
(This Essure device is awful. It needs OFF the market. Also I lost a lot because of "Essure")

I also had a tube removed and still managed to have 2 more children after my removal in 2001. Try not to worry yourself too much. Think positive! Many blessings!

I had lost my right tube to a ectopic pregnancy in 2014 and my left this August. My biggest issue now is getting my libido back. It seems like nothing is making it come back. I just feel so awful for my husband. And the only way to get pregnant if we do IVF.

I had my tubes removed December 1st and these last two periods have been horrible. Last night I would've sworn I was having a miscarriage. So much pain I became nauseated and started throwing up. I have never felt pain like this in my life of having periods. I also feel pain in those incision areas sometimes. I'm 28 by the way, three boys, last one by c section and surgery 3 months later.
