I had episodes of melancholy (I'd rather call it that way, than depression) in the past, but usually it was happening when I had relationship, family or financial troubles. That feeling of 'being down' wasn't bound to any non explainable cause.
However, lately I feel down more often. It's not just melancholy or temporary sadness like it used to be. I lost interest in my daily activities, such as work, cycling, having fun with my friends. I lack self-esteem. My relationship is getting worse, because I don't have energy to do something except sitting home, watching TV.
I also feel fatigue, and I have occasional headaches.
What is wrong with me? Depression, or just temporary 'down time'?

Definitely sounds like a depression to me. Why don't you make an appointment? I also suggest you to talk to someone about this. Depression could be hard, but it's easier if you have someone to share your problems with.
