Hi. I'm at the hospital at this moment with that problem. They gave me a swallowing test and it showed that my throat have closed a little. So the gastro dr will b putting a tube down there to open it back up. He stated I have acid reflux. I pray this is a help for u

I have this issue as well. My doctor did an Ultrasound of my Thyroid. They have found a cyst on the left side & aren't sure what is on the other side. Seeing a specialist about the problem. They think it all has to do with my thyroid, but are going to look into the problem on the right side more. I'm hoping it is nothing serious. Has anyone else had this problem with their thyroid. If so, how were you treated. Don't really want to have my throat cut open.

I have the throat closing problem too. Yes I have a very stressful job. I noticed this after I had bee using a sinus rinse for a while. Also the in the apartment below me are smokers and the smoke travels up into my apartment. I also use ricola throat lozenges (someone said something about ricola) It helps if I lay on my back when I'm sleeping. But it still takes a while after I wake up for my throat to feel "normal" again, usually after I eat breakfast. Changed pillows, that helped for a while.

I have diagnosed with Gerd a form of acid reflus. When I eat and take a walk I feel like my throat is closing and hurts. Another Dr. gave qvar 40mcg. a steroid for my throat for imflamation I use this and it stops that feeling at that time.

elevate the head of your bed at least 4 inches. that should help some with the acid.
