I've been having problems with fingers in both my hands going numb, then a painful, burning icy-hot sensation. I can only sleep on my back because of this - when I try to sleep on my side it comes on almost instantly. I have made sure that my hands are not bent at an angle and are not cutting off blood supply, but this has been going on for weeks. The sensation wakes me up at night, and often lasts through the day, though not as severe.
did you ever find out what was causing this because I have the same problem .I also have severe lower back pain ,that I was told was severe arthritis and a bulging disc .I was wondering if maybe that has anything to do with it or not ? ?
I too am having this problem and I also have a degenerative disc and arthiritis I was wondering if it was related. Any answers out there?
I'm a 38 year old female and just started having this too. Icy hot feeling without pain though, and it runs in my fingers, mostly on my left side. It's hard to sleep and if I sleep on my sides, it makes my arms numb. I have had back issues, disc trouble for years, hope that's all that is causing it but I'm going to try to follow up with doctor because it's worrysome.
