I'm freaking out because I don't know if I can pass this blood, drug test because of the suboxone. I have been on subs for about 8 months now. I take about 2mgs a day and I'm so afraid because I have been reading about how bad the withdrawals are. I had no idea. I thought it was a miracle drug and I wouldn't have any trouble not taking it this week coming up. NOw, I'm terrified to even try. This blood test has a lot riding on it. It is for a special supervision services program that would allow me to have a license to drive to work only. I had two DUI's in the past. I have been sober now for 1.5 years, but stayed had a hard time beating the vicodin addiction. If I show up with any kind of suboxone in my blood I will not be able to drive for another year until my real license will be reinstated. Does anyone have any advice for me? I just want to move on with my life. I thought I had gotten through all of the hard parts and now I"m probably going to be penalized for a drug that helped me get my life back. Any thoughts? Is there any way that I can pass this blood test?
Hi! Suboxone will be mostly out of your system within 36 hours afer you stop taking it, but the half life of buprenorphine(which one of two drugs in suboxone) is up to 60 hours, so if in the vary rare event that you are tested for suboxone, than it is traceable for up to 72 hours at the most. But it is very unlikely for you to ever be tested for suboxone...
