Hi,

I'm a nineteen year old and have yet to have sexual intercourse, so although not 100%, I am fairy sure I do not have any form of sexually transmitted infections. I have had these little bumps on my genitals for longer than I can remember so I am not sure exactly when they showed up, but I'm guessing right around puberty. The bumps are very small and flesh colored. I have them all over my testicles and underneath my penile shaft. They do not hurt, itch, or do anything; they are just there. I've researched this for a while since I've been curious, but since they bring no pain I guess I ignore them. I believe they are just "hair follicles" but I wanted to ask anonymously before I got worked up or go to a doctor (they are scary :P). The reason I second guess myself on this is that it just seems like there are too many. Literally, they are all over the testicles, spread out a little and very small and slightly round/ovalish. They are slightly noticeable when not erect but with an erection they become a bit more visible and much easier to feel, especially under the penile shaft.

Again they cause no pain during the pain and no pain during masturbation but are noticeable to touch. If they are just hair follicles is there a way to reduce that? After researching I saw that one reason might be bacteria so I have been washing with a bar of soap every day to keep it clean down there.

Any help is much appreciated, I'm glad we have forums like these to get some help from.

no pain during the day*

I hope you receive this. I'm 23, have had them since i was in my early teens. Not sexually active. They are Fordyce's Spot. Only a cosmetic concern, not an STD, not dangerous, they are actually common and can possibly be removed. I sincerely hope you get this because I spent over ten years in fear and have had a huge weight lifted off my chest when I learned the truth. Look it up on a wiki page. You are not alone and have nothing to worry about.
