About a month ago (maybe a little less than that) or so I noticed, after coming out of the shower, a small bump on the left side of my scrotum. It's located, not on the underside, but rather off to the left, near my thigh as well.
The bump is about the same color as my skin but maybe a tad darker. It's soft to the touch and it doesn't hurt. (If I'm aroused then the bump is harder). I just looked paused while writing this to look at it and it actually looked like the bump is gray/black and the skin around it is a little gray as well. It is smaller than the size of my nail (similar to a dime). It is the only bump of its kind.
I have not had sex so I doubt that it is an STD (I do have jock itch though not sure if it is related to the bump). I don't think it's a lump but rather a bump (I'm not sure if one can even see a lump). What I'm wondering is: does anyone have any idea as to what this bump could be? Is it serious? If it is not serious, I have an appointment with my PCP in November - should I wait until then to show my doctor this?
