Lips whitish. Visible granules. Totally depressed. I turned off all social networks and have been home for three months without the strength to face the world and people. I left university this semester and have not had any contact with others. No dermatologist helped me. Very bad.

Hello friends. In addition to the fordyce granules does anyone here have large pearly papules on the crown of the penis? I have them and have avoided sexual contact since I noticed that they have increased in size and quantity. I fear women feel disgusted or uncomfortable during oral sex, especially. I know this is a normal variation of the sebaceous glands, but it keeps worrying and discouraging me.

Hi all, I have been suffering from fordyce spots (FS) since 2012. My FS spread almost in whole part of upper lip. I do agree with many of you that FS could destroy your confidence. Some people even think that I have sexual disease and many try to keep distance from me. I know it is really hurting, but, I try to keep my self confidence in the level that I need it whenever I make interaction with my friends, office colleagues, clients etc. I tried so so many medicines and treatments suggested by doctors, friends, health forum and anonymous writers in the internet, but no one cure my FS. The 8th December 2019 was one of my big lucky day when I read an advertisement pop up in the website I was reading about lip treatment. It didn't exactly mention about FS, but I don't know I just want to try the product, and made an order via their website. Three days later the product was coming and I tried it in the night before go to bed. When I wake up in the morning, I feel my upper lip was softer than usual, and I found some spots in the edge of my upper lip faded away. But, the remaining spots are still there. Even though it is suggested only for night use, I tried to put the cream in the morning and afternoon, and of course night before going to the bed. After 2 weeks using the product, the horrible FS in my upper lip are fading away. Those FS have not completely gone, but at least I can see my upper lip is much better than before. Thanks God.

SS here,

Glad you’re still clear DM! I’m mostly good over here too. I have a little scar that bothers me, but I sit it myself by tearing all scab.

Y’all go back and read the thread. I wanted to commit suicide 2 years ago because of these, and now I’m mostly clears. Hoping it stays this way but point is, there’s hope!

DMB - which Advanced Dermatology in Denver did you go to for the Sciton Full-field ablative Erbium? I called and they told me they didn’t have the device at any of their locations. Also, Dr. Nelson has moved to Dermatology Specialists - and the offices she works at do not have that device.

Does anyone have any updates on FS on their lips? Please don’t reply with home remedies that’s been posted by a lot of literature online (jojoba, vinegar, etc) that keeps getting recycled over and over. Has anyone found a medical professional who has been able to provide some kind of relief on minimizing spots? I’ve had FS on my lips for over 10 years and have tried electrodessication and pulse dye laser with no success a few years ago. Wondering if the medical field has taken this seriously?

Any updates on possible treatments for FS on lips? It’s been years probably more than 10 years I’ve been suffering from this, hoping for a treatment that actually works and it seems like we’re all on the same boat reading the same old articles on home remedies over and over again that don’t work.
