I agree that if you are unable to fold it back witout pain that you should see a physician but otherwise you should be okay. Can someone let me know how they're doing? I would like an update if anyone has one!

First off dont be using soap when you wash your penis, it helps cause the dryness, but often we dont produce enough pre-cum and that is a lot of why things like this happen, I try to lube up day with a bit of silicon lube it has staying power however my wife isnt happy if she chooses to give head I Am searching now for a way of dealing with this cause like others I am not going in for surgery.

I have had similar problems. The quack confirms that the infection is a form of Thrush
After a couple of months using prescribed creams, the problem kept returning.
Eventually the quack prescribed a pill that killed virtually all bacteria in the body, a reboot of thebody to quote the Doc.
That worked.
Can't remember the name of the pill, apparantly it it can be bought without a prescrition.
Good luck

If what you have is a cut in the foreskin, the problem is that this skin stretches a great deal. When it heals, it is contracted. When you have sex, it expands, and is sensitive to ripping. What you need to do is get an erection, then put liquid bandage on the area. Do this for two weeks without having sex. Apply at night and leave on for about 10 hours a day. If it is so serious you bleed, you might try something stronger like liquid stitches. Anyway, what this will do is keep the skin separated so it can heal as if the skin was expanded like you have an erection. Good luck!

I started researching for this topic and I found you guys! I have the same problem, but Im not circumsised! The problem is that when my foresking is covering the head, the inside part of the foreskin is tight and when I pull back on the foreskin, it is so tight that it hurts to do so! Ive noticed some streach cuts when I try to pull back and can seem to make them heal! I try to keep it as dry as I can but no matter what It is still moist! The only way I can pull the foreskin back all the way is when Im not errect! But I try to do it when Im errect and it hurts like a motherf*$#. I am still trying to find some answers in to how I can heal up and how long!

Hi......I had the similar problem but cannot say if it is exactly the same condition or not. With erection if i tried to retract my forskin it started bleeding from the frenulum (an attachment of forskin to the head of the penis) and it happed 4-5 times. I consulted a urologist and the problem was tight frenulum. I also noted a cut there in the fenulum from where it was bleeding and after every erection it had been quite painful. As per my urologist I got the frenuloplasty done, a very minor procedure that is done under local anesthesia and you may be discharged right after the procedure. No hospitalization required. Consult an urologist, and he can better assist you.

Mine was tight also but maybe not quite as tight as yours. It would hurt like hell if it got caught behind the head when I got an erection.
I stretched it by inserting two fingers in the end while showering and stretching the opening as far as I could stand, for as long as I could. This created those stretch cuts you described and I had to live with that until I finally got it stretched out like I wanted. I was satisfied when I was able to get three fingers in the tip as then it would go back over the head easily and without any pain when erect. It took a couple months to get it stretched out that much and I kept doing the finger thing with three fingers for several years to keep it from shrinking back to it's tight old self.

I had this when I was about 18 years old. The doc said it was a fungal thing. Use CANESTEN or MONISTAT DERM.
He said that the woman's vagina is the proper climate for mushrooms to grow. We caught it because we we're traveling... no showers... a lot of sex... BOOM! penis problems. She was itchy in her private parts. It's nothing to really worry about, but it won't go away alone. It'll keep coming back until you use one of those creams... and no masturbating or sex for about 10 to 14 days.
Ok... for the teenager who says he's a virgin:
Obviously you didn't get it from a woman's vagina, but if the symptoms fit, you should try one of those creams. You don't need a prescription, so if you want to avoid seeing a doctor, you can try that.
The best is to go see a doctor. The fungal thing is very common, but there might be something else that can look the same without being the same thing.
And for the dude that had over 20 partners: lol. you should try calling every woman (or man) you your penis touched since this problem started... and hope that the ones you don't remember got checked too because nobody likes having microscopical mushrooms growing in their reproductive areas. Especially that it really gives a bad start in life to a kid who's mom had it when giving birth. It happened to my gf's sister, so her daughter has to take antibiotics for the rest of her life, or else it'll come back (around her mouth).
I hope it helps.

I have what I think is the same problem... It started off with a little itch at the bottom of the head of my penics(FYI: I am Circumsized). I didnt think much of it but the I noticed it hurt a bit then I would pull the skin back to urinate(did not hurt to urinate). Now I have these small cut on the forskin of my penis that hurt everytime I streach the forskin and I noticed a ring around my forskin of like tight skin near the head of the penis.
When this first started I used baby powder that is for diaper rash and that helped and it went away. Now its back and Im using regular baby powder and it does not seem to be healing it... just teporarily getting rid of the pain.
My wife says its just chafing and I just have to keep it dry and it will go away. Im a obease guy and she seems to think thats why it happens(any other fat guys have this problem? is it a fat man thing or does it affect all men?) I guess I could try the baby rash ointment idea and see what happens, I read to use A & D ointment somwhere online too... anyone have any ideas or know of something that works?

i have a similar problem. it started out last fall. at first i thought it would go away soon on its own. but it didn't. it just seemed to stay the same, or even get worse. the cuts would heal somewhat if i left the head inside the foreskin, but as soon as i would push it out, they'd tear open again. so anything that required an exposed head (sex, masturbation, even cleaning the thing) would perpetuate the problem. this went on for months. it was really making me depressed.
but then i finally decided to try to do something about it. after researching the issue, reading this forum, and doing some serious thinking, i finally came up with a solution that seems to be working for me. the key was to find a way to keep the head out of the foreskin, even while it was soft, so that the cuts would be able to heal in the stretched out foreskin position. i gave up on holding it open with my hand, because you can only do that for so long, and you obviously can't when you're sleeping. after experimenting with a couple of other methods that didn't seem to work too well (liquid bandage; twist ties(lol)), it finally occured to me to try tape... duct tape! (cuz duct tape is strong). and it seems to be working great. i've been religiously applying the duct tape about two times a day (because after about 12 hours, the tape tends to get loose and start to peel off, especially after sleeping and getting a hard-on in my sleep) to the shaft of my penis, positioning it in such a way as to hold the foreskin back from the head. the best way sems to be to place the tape over the bunched up area of skin that a pulled-back foreskin creates. and let me tell you, i'm a happy camper, because the cuts are mostly healed now. another few days of this, and the skin should be totally healed, and i'll be able to stop putting the duct tape on. and the best part is, because it's healing in the open, stretched out position, i don't expect any new cuts to form, because now there's enough skin that it won't need to split open just to fit over the head. i'm psyched. i'm not saying this method will work for all of you, but it sure seems to be working for me. :-D

I'm confused. You say you're circumcised, then you talk about your foreskin.
What happened?
Did the doctor miss, and get the baby next to you?

same problem here. about 2 months now. internet research and a visit to the doc both appointed me the name ''Balanitis" i'm positive this is what it is called, this problem of all ours. I got a cream "Nyaderm/Nystatin" seems to be working, but like thers said, masturbation is causing me more problems than anything lol. I refuse to have intercourse with the pain i feel with this *@&$, i tried. Bad idea. Anywho, for any of you's looking to coin it a name, see: Balanitis.

THIS MAY HELP UNDERSTAND AND EXPLAIN THE PROBLEM AND THE 'CURE' .... I had the same problem for years and after several MD visits with the experts can offer the following conclusions:
The area below the flared ridge ("carona") of the head ("glans") of the penis where it meets the shaft or neck of the penis is called the "sulkus" and it is here that smegma accumulates in both circumsized and uncircumsized men. When a skin surface such as the skin on the foreskin, or in circumsized men what little remains of the foreskin, rests against the sulkus of the penis (as it does with a flacid penis circumsized or not), you have a prime opportunity for "yeast buds with a bacteria overlay" to develop. It happens more often in women with the labia folds and all the other 'stuff' they have down there, but this condition also occurs in men.
The cuts that appear on the sulkus are not cuts at -- they are the exposed under-layer of the very top layer of cells that usually form the sulkus surface but which have been 'torn away' (having been weakenned by the yeast bud/bacteria warfare) when the penis extends (or in the case of an inspecting urologist, when the penis glans/carona area has been torn open to expose the sulkus which sometimes gets so full of the yeast/bacteria that the skins there get badly stuck on each other, almost as if they fuse, often so tightly that carona is no longer as pronounced during erects because skin on the shaft is stuck to the sulkus. When the urologist tore away the shaft skin from the sulkus with his fingers (a big hurt!), he exposed these cuts or sores once again and explained all of this to me. He said what was needed was more careful washing of the sulkus/carona area, possibly with a que-tip cotton swab and soap followed by thorough warm water rinsing. This worked, but because the penis skin continued to roll over the sulkus, the opportunity for the yeast/bacteria to grow back is always present and requires maintenance in this manner two or more times a day.
It may be that I am more vulnerable to this as I am a circumsized 58 year old male with recent diabetes AND I have substituted artificially sweetenned jello (gelatin) for sweets -- I consume six or more servings per night of the jello. Gellatin is said to encourage smegma which has been appearing, uncharacteristically for me, on my sulkus in visible amounts every several days. Smegma only encourages the yeast/bacteria condition that results in these 'cuts' on the sulkus by acting as a rich fertile soil for the yeast/bacteria growth and by also acting as a kind of adhesive to further encourage the skin from the neck of the penis to stick to the sulkus and provide the warm and cozy breeding ground in which the yeast bacteria things like to flourish and fight one another (or party together if you prefer).
I am once again going through this problem and have been for several years, but only recently had a general practitioner and two urologist inspect the area with leading to this cumulative view of the problem. Solution: wash meticulously twice a day and rinse thoroughly and dry thoroughly. You may try applying powder to keep it dry as I intend to do.
I also was given prescriptions to diminish the level of inflammation resulting from the yeast/bacteria and 'cuts' problem, though this is not available on every outbreak and should not be needed if you are washing as carefully as described because the inflammation will not develop - in my case it had completely encircled the under ridge of the carona, ie, the sulkus and extended down the shaft and on to the carona somewhat. You may also find a gooey ointment or cream like Nystatin and Triamcinolone Acetonide USP helpful in keeping the yeast from developing and curing it when it does develop. It's a cheap generic prescription often used by women with yeast infections and 'cuts' of this nature on their genitalia, but it works well for this condition on the man's sulkus speeding up the healing - but apply it sparingly because it can act as a 'glue' that keeps the shaft skin laying up against the sulkis and you want to keep that from occurring if you can do so (many of us cannot).
