I've had some similar issues the past 1-2 years, never had digestive problems until I had to have surgery. A lot of it seems to have to do with my diet, I've realized. On days I eat more fruits/vegetables and less sugar, I feel close to normal. My advice would be to look up how much sugar is normal for your age/gender and slowly follow that (check sugar content in everything) and make your plate at least 50% vegetables, cooked or raw. Of course this means you'll have to eat more in general, which won't be a problem if you eat the right things. Also, there's a few documentaries that talk about making vegetable juice and drinking it to get healthy. You could try that method, watch fat sick & nearly dead. I try to do all these things even though it does take a lot of commitment at first, but in the end you'll get used to it and feel way better hopefully.

ODK - Your post is a year old now, but I just read it and it describes my symptoms a lot. Can you tell me if you found a cure yet? Thanks!

Hi there,

For me, I realise, if take anything that is oily, the problem will comes. The problem seem to go away once I stop the oily food like fried noodles, food that has any oil in it. I ate salad without seasoning, i make my own version of roast chicken salad with very little little sprinkle of oliver oil, rosemary, lemon and some salt for breakfast etc. You need to trial and error to see what u are allergy to. If u add something, take note of the quantity or amount. Do not add all different types at once. If you find, u wanted more favour, add a little to see if you can take it, and gradually increase the amount.Note, it takes some time, to minimise the symptom. Try to see the type of food you have and cut out those u can't. This is my side of story, everyone is different and hopes it helps. By the way, I have this for 20+ years before I find a way out. Do not give up!

Hi there,

I have had a similar problem for now one year. But the symptoms are a little bit different : I have no pain, no constipation (actually rather loose stools), no discomfort, the only problem (that is just unlivable...) is the gurgles in my butt ! (and some in my stomach too but it's less annoying)

It's so strange because I don't have so much gas, no more than normal people (I read than the average person farts between 15 and 25 times a day, I do like 10 times a day).

So why do I have less gas than the average, but the little gas I have makes so much noise in my butt ?? That just makes no sense !

I read a lot about it and I have the feeling that it's due to a physical disorder in the rectum, like diverticular disease, polyp or just an inflammation that would have hurt it and the gas would make strange noise when passing throught these wounds.

Do you guys have any idea about that ?

hey, those are pretty much the exact symptoms i had, except after a while the butt gurgles stopped and the stomach ones got much worse. i've tried cutting a lot of things from my diet and did try l-glutamine about 6 months ago because of a previous suggestion in this thread but it didn't help. a few days ago i decided to try l-glutamine again but a different brand and paired with a probiotic it seems to have helped immensely, i'm much less stressed about it.
The brand of the l-glutamine is Now Sports, and its the 1000mg one.
The probiotic is by Healthy Origins and is 30 billion CFU's.
I really hope it helps for you and for anyone else. I know it can seem expensive trying so many different supplements or diets but at the end of the day its worth it for our health.

Good luck,
I

Oh and also, to help with the stress/anxiety of being in a quiet situation I find taking Dr's Best Suntheanine L-theanine 150mg really helps. Personally one pill lasts about 5 hours but everyone will differ. It's subtle but it just helps to calm you down, good for social anxiety in general.

I heard something about epi and that might be it. I have very frequent bowel movements, generally about 20 min after eating and I never feel finished. I am going to have a colonic Hydrotherapy done to see if it helps some.

I have the same issues. I've dealt with them for several years since I was 13 or 14. I have never went to the doctor; I have always "put up" with it. This issue is embarrassing and like you it affects all aspects of life for me. School, work, social life, etc.
I still deal with it. I haven't gone to see the doctor because I honestly don't think they will tell me anything that is beneficial and of use to help me with this problem.
