MIGHT BE A CURE FOR SOME OF YOU!.
Hey guys, It seems everyone's problem in here varies.
I won't go into detail about my situation, But i'll give you my symptoms:
-Popping/Gurgling noises in stomach.
-rectal noises.
-Constipation.
I, like you all, have tried for many years to find a cure for my problem on the internet.
But the only thing I gathered from that is that different things work for different people, so through trial and error I found a few things
that reduce (not completely get rid of) the problems.
Digestive enzymes.
Ginger.
Probiotic.
I take these 2/3 times a day and the probiotic just once a day. From what i've heard it's better to take them with meals. I generally eat what I want, but i'm cautious about dairy sometimes when I am preparing to be in a situation where I need to be sure the symtoms won't be acting up although like I said you may need to eliminate dairy completely or not at all, It's different for everyone!!
I don't know if this will help any of you, but it certainly reduced my problems by about 80%. Of course, I have bad days but I feel so much better than before. I always said that if I could find a solution that could help me I would want to share it and see if it helps anyone else.
I also heard charcoal helps too and peppermint!
Hope this helps! And good luck! :O

Unfortunately I think that different things work for different people so you just need to find out what works for you.
For me, taking a probiotic every morning and raw vegetarian digestive enzyme tablets (that I get from Whole Foods Market) every time I eat works wonderfully. In addition I have identified the foods that produce the loudest growls such as milk, pasta, bread & grapes and have surmised that I probably have some sort of fructose intolerance. In addition to these I watch what I eat and drink lactose free milk and eat gluten free products. I noticed that the moment I went back to my regular eating habits...the growling instantly came back. i highly suggest that you create a food journal to document what foods or if even a lack of food is producing the growls.

So I've pretty much had all the same problems everyone else has mentioned, and I find it interesting that these issues may be the result of acne medications. I took monodox for about 8 months before I had enough of the constant diarrhea. I thought by stopping the medication all of these symptoms would go away, but they unfortunately did not. My doctor says that if I keep taking probiotics (I've tried Culturelle and Digestive Advantage) then things should gradually get back to normal. The thing is, these noises and symptoms have caused me so much anxiety that I just started seeing a therapist because I have been avoiding everything from classes to movies. I go to a Quaker school and every week we have Meeting for Worship where the whole school sits in silence for about 40 minutes, and that is the worst. I got panic attacks because I thought my stomach/intestines would make a noise, until it got so bad that I just started skipping all together. Also I'm going to Europe over the summer with a teen group and I almost considered not going because of all the anxiety this has caused me, and worrying about all these digestive issues. It's comforting to know that other people are experiencing this and not just me, because its so easy to go through the day and think that no one else has to deal with it. Anyway, I'll keep everyone in my prayers, and I really hope some solution will be discovered in the near future. I just find it fascinating that all of these issues and acne antibiotics might in fact be related!

Hi, I'm 14 almost 15 and am a freshman in high school. I suffer from all these symptoms and this stomach/rectum noises have taken over my life. I have missed so much school because of this and dread going to class everyday. It's all I think about all day in all my classes, wondering if it will happen or how bad it will be. It's become a problem for me that's so bad to the point where I cry all the time just thinking about it. My grades are terrible, my GPA stands at a 2.2 because of this problem. I can't concentrate during class no matter how hard I try because my mind is focusing on whether or not these noises will happen rather than what is actually going on in class. If I don't think about it, then it randomly happens and theres no way of controlling it. It's the most embarrassing thing ever and everyone around me stares at me. It kind of feels like I have to fart but nothing comes out, and then it feels like air rises up in my body and it makes a loud screeching noise. I've been to so many doctors about this and they just don't understand at all. They think it's because of my diet and my parents are making me go to a therapist because they think it's cause of my anxiety. I know it's not because of this, it happens even when I'm not stressed out or anxious. There is constant gurgling noises in my stomach and its really loud. My stomach feels empty and nonstop growls loudly. People say that it happens to everyone and not to worry when that's not true at all. This doesn't happen to anyone because it's not normal. No matter what I eat, and trust me I have tried everything, nothing helps. I also noticed that even when I eat breakfast, no matter how much I eat, my stomach always starts growling by the time third period comes. It's controlling my life and it's all I think about. It's gotten so bad to the point where I have considered virtual school but my parents will not let me, they think I'm overreacting and that's it's all in my head. Theres only two months till summer and I can't wait till I can be happy again and not have to worry about my classmates hearing all this, but I know that school will start again in the fall and things can only get worse. I am desperate for answers. The doctors don't help at all, my parents don't either, they just make me feel guilty about my bad grades and focus on that more than my stomach problems. I have come to tears while typing this and I know I might sound overemotional, but I'm only 14 and I'm tired of this ruining my life. When I read all the comments on this I felt so relieved that there are other people suffering from this also and it made me feel less alone. I'm always trying to think of excuses to leave class and when I do, all my classmates and even my teachers probably know why. These noises and nonstop stomach growling have honestly ruined me and I have even became suicidal since this started happening. Everyone says not to worry about what other people think but it's easier said than done. When I'm in class and we're taking the test or the class is working individually, it's completely quiet and it drives me insane. Everyone probably thinks I'm crazy and I can't take it anymore. If I had one wish, I wouldn't wish for a million dollars or for what most people would wish for. I would wish for these noises to stop. That's all I think about everyday, it's taken over my life and I don't know what to do anymore. I'm desperate for answers and if anyone could please suggest any pills I can get at a drug store I should take that helped them, that would be great. Any time of advice would help because I've gotten to the point where I want to die because of this and I just can't take it anymore.

Everybody, please try a product that contains SIMETHICONE!!!!
It is in products that have a name such as De-Gas.
You purchase these from a pharmacy (just ask, and don't feel emabarassed about it!!!!) and are relatively cheap, and have no side effects, they are simply an antifoaming agent that prevents the formation of bubbles, and yes, gas in your gut!
You can only try it!
I use it and it is great...I'm about to have one now!

That sounds exactly like me!! I am 37 now and went through that since grade school. I remember how embarrassing the noise was and people thought I was passing gas. I never did well in school because of the discomfort and pain I was in. In high school I always went home early or missed a lot of school because it was that bad.I still deal with this today I had an endoscopy done and they said that everything is fine and that it was acid reflux disease so I take pills for it. It doesn't work I still have all all those symptoms. I don't go out much and call in work when it is bad til this day. This has caused me major depression as well.

Folks,
I am 24/Male. I too am facing the same problem. I tell you, its so embarassing in silent situations(In board room, While sitting in your office with juniors). The gurgulling sound at odd times. I feel one reason is staying hungry/seldom eat on time or all meals for days and, then just start eating normally. I feel it would take time to recover on its own.
But, as I see here, its not resolved for some for decades together.
Why in the hell, do doctors have no cure for it.
I would suggest a Doctor to interviene and show us the right step.
Till then have to suffer with this.
