Hi, guest.

Yeast infections are caused by an overgrowth of the fungus Candida. They can cause a variety of symptoms, including itching, burning, and irritation in the affected area. In some cases, a yeast infection can also cause a discharge.

Having yeast in your blood is a serious condition known as systemic candidiasis. This condition can be serious, particularly in people who have weakened immune systems or who have had invasive medical procedures such as mesh surgery.

Treatment for yeast infections typically involves antifungal medications, either in the form of topical creams or oral medications. In cases of systemic candidiasis, intravenous antifungal medications may be necessary.

It's important to follow your healthcare provider's instructions closely and complete the full course of treatment to ensure that the infection is fully treated. You may also need to make certain lifestyle changes, such as avoiding sugary foods and beverages, to prevent future yeast infections.
