Having the same issue. I didn't pinpoint the problem until today, though, that the problem was bananas! For the last week i've had a banana for breakfast and every single day i had horrible stomach pains until i ultimately ended up in the washroom for about 15 minutes taking care of business! What a horrible experience this has been. I never had an issue when i was younger but now i'm in my mid 20's and my body seems to react to certain foods very differently!

I began to have this problem in my early 20's (I'm now in my early 40's). After eating a raw banana, I'd have cramps so bad that I'd literally have lie down and wait them out for up to a few hours. This didn't happen in childhood or as a teenager. I could eat raw banana's just fine. I figured out after a few instances pretty quickly that it was the banana's. The pain was severe enough that I cut banana's out of my diet then and there and have been good for more than 20 years. I still buy banana's (because my kids love them), but I know that I cannot tolerate them.
Things I've noticed. I can eat banana bread (or cake) and raw banana blended in a smoothie with no irritation. I also don't have a problem eating kiwi or avacado, which I heard can have the same effect as eating a raw banana. (in fact, I had 2 kiwi's today and 1 avacado yesterday without a problem)
From everything I've read, there is no fix and waiting for the banana to exit your digestive system, which it will do one way or the other, is all you can do.
