My father has high blood eye pressure for the past couple of years. It has been identified as glaucoma and medicament therapy was applied, but that did not work out for him as expected. Doctors now recommend going to surgery to prevent further complications of his condition? Can you tell me anything about that procedure?
There are several types of glaucoma operations, for both healing and prevention. One of those is fistulae operation, in which a new channel is made for the drainage of the eye water. There is also a procedure that prevents producing too much of that eye water etc. I suppose that the doctors will determine the best possible operation for your father so that he does not have eye problems any more.
