Hey guys,
so back in January i was doing a hill workout with my crosscoutry team and i started to get a pain in my groin as we were warming up. Now i had this happen before once or twice within a two weeks before the injury happened but i stopped early and the pain went away and i was fine the next day. So as I was doing the hill workout with my crosscountry team it started to get pretty bad and by the time we were heading back to the school i could barley run. It kept on getting worse and worse as the day progressed. the next day i couldn't sit without being in pain and i couldn't really do much but i tried to go out for a run anyways. but during that run every time that i had to stop and start up again (because of traffic and what not) it was extremely painful. so after that i stopped for about a month straight and i got better, i could walk around almost pain free, and i started up in the track season. for the first three weeks I took easy and i got to a point where i could run almost pain free. but at the end of February the pain came back and it was hard to walk around let alone run. i had to pull out of the season. but at the end of the season i didn't care anymore and i went ahead and competed in the 800 and i ran pain free, but after the race my legs went numb and i was a tad dizzy. i don't know if that was from the lack of running or if that is a symptom of my injury. after that i was almost pain free again but only for a week and the pain came back and i was only doing light short runs. about a month after the season ended (about when summer started) i started up biking. i normally do fine with biking but it's been really weird for me. one day i bike 25 miles and i did just fine and then i have done 5 mile bike rides and i was in pain. but now i have somewhat healed and the pain is enough to make me want to stop but it wasn't near the pain in the beginning. i have the pain down enough that i can go on a bike ride every other day but after every bike ride i have to ice to kill the pain. i have tried pain killers and my Dr. even told me to take 600mg of ibuprofen and it had very little affect on me if not any. i have had a MRI and every thing came up fine. i have also done PT and it had no effect on my injury. the only thing that i found that is effective on my injury pain wise is taking a ice bath. please any help would be useful. i would really like to participate in this up and coming cross county season that starts in about a month.
Thanks, Zachary
