I would have to say it's allergies. I have had the same symptoms on and off pertically when I moved to the city environment where pollution and dust is all over the place. but best to see a doctor to get it all checked out.

Exactly the same for me. Constantly gargling liquids, coughing, snorting anything really to relieve the feeling of it. I find fizzy drinks (beer in my case lol) helps a bit. I'm ok in the morning but as day goes on it gets worse and peaks in the evening. I smoke and drink. My have to try quitting see if it helps

Omg yes! I started back smoking cigarettes and menthol and a lot cause I’ve been super stressed Nd I always have to spit and my throat feels hairy and like a little bump on it and I was like it must be from smoking. I was thinking maybe signs of cancer from it. Hopefully not

That sounds like a tonsil stone.

It's called a tonsil stone. They are relatively common and most people will experience it at some point. I believe it is caused from a build up of old food getting stuck in your tonsils. The mouth wash therabreath helps but sometimes you have to go in your self and use a q-tip to try and dislodge the tonsil stone. Speak with your doctor or an ENT specialist if you are concerned.

Thank you. Thrush sounds right

If you have that annoying feeling of hair in the back of your throat, it could be thrush. Get a small flashlight and a mirror and take a look. In my case, I suspect my inhaler causes it and I need to rinse well or gargle after using. If you have it, try gargling with warm salt water several times a day. You can also add a couple of drops of lemon, clove, lavender, or tea tree essential oil. I also gargle with a little dry mouth treatment occasionally. Don’t worry; it will go away.
