Hi I have had three surgery if your toe is sticking up in air then your tendon is to tight. My first surgery had four toes done on rt foot all good except #2 toe was now across my big toe they cut tendon on wrong side my after inserts and manipulation my toe looked like a arrow head had another surgeon fix at least its straight. A few weeks ago seen new surgeon cuz my left toes were pretty painful an affected me wearing shoes. Told I'm past problems asking not to let happen again well guess what #4-5 are perfect but #2-3 the pins are not positioned right they are causing pain. I know somewhere in the state of WA is a caring decent and professional podiatrist who really cares about his work and pt's. Not just paying for another vacation.

I had bunion/hammer toe surgery 4 years ago. When surgery was done, I had a plate with screws holding my main bone together (going up from the big toe) and my second toe after surgery/rod pulled out after 2 weeks is now laying behind the rest of my toes, which it lags behind so is easy to trip. The third toe sits up above the other toes which tells me a tendon or something was affected. In other words a disasterous surgery. I'm debating amputation of the second toe as it is disformed, swollen and hurts all the time when I walk. I don't know what the answer is when it comes to having surgeries on your feet, if surgery is botched you will never walk the same

I have had plantar fasciitis for a year+ and found that these slippers make walking less painful. I also believe that by ordering a new pair as soon as I see "wear" that they are helping me to get to my goal of a pain free walk. I have ordered an orthofeet slipper(same one) three different times now.

I have my next Dr. appointment in a couple of weeks and with the help of my new shoes I am hoping I wont have to get shot's in both of my heels again for Plantar Fasciitis. I also haven't had to wear my boot as long in the evenings. The only thing I wish is that they had a few cuter styles in boots. I love both pairs of orthofeets that I bought.

Orthofeet have got me walking straighter and for longer hikes in our bosque woods … I’ve actually lost 5 pounds since getting them as I can walk without any pain at all. And I just got a compliment from a young man at the Apple Store the other day … diggin’ the style of the shoes. I’ve also purchased a pair of othofeet … and they are one fine, comfy pair of shoes to wear as my in the house shoes. The shoes are pure walk-gliding comfort and I’m so pleased with them. Thanks !!!

My name is Jacqueline, I had hammer toe surgery almost two months ago and it was the worse thing I could have ever done. I got Mersa & have a Picc line in my arm and every day I have to have medicine put in the i - v's I'm walking around with two I v's hanging down my arm for 6 weeks. My toe is still swelled and red. I had the toe next to the big toe operated on and the doctor put an insert in it to straighten it, this insert doesn't show up on an xray. Thank God I don't have Mersa in my blood and I'm praying it's not in my bone on the toe where I was operated on. If so they will have to amputate my toe. I'm 70 years old and was trying to treat myself so I could wear sandals & this is what I got. Would appreciate any prayers & I thank you in advance.

I had 2nd toe hammertoe and plantar fasciitis surgery 5 years ago. The Dr. cut thru the top and bottom of my foot during this surgery. As I was healing, I started experiencing a feeling of something was internally wrapped around my toe. While recovering, I began having substantial tingling, burning pain in my toes. I developed a thick scar on the bottom of my foot. In the mornings before walking, my foot feels normal. Soreness begins as soon as I apply pressure and by the evening I am having constant burning/tingling pain in my 2nd & big toe and feel like I am walking on rocks. The scar tissue on the bottom of my foot gets so thick that I shave it periodically to get relief. I have used an orthotic, toe spacer, creams, gotten cortisone shots and tried physical therapy. I still have pain every night. I don't want to make it worse. Wondering has anyone had successful hammertoe reversal surgery removing pins for pain alleviation?

I just had bunion fixed with plate above it and hardware. Hammertoes had pins 2nd thur 4th toe then fix fifth toe that was turned sideways under fourth toe. With lots of gout removed. Two weeks later I pushed up in bed with surgery foot that woke me up quick. Long story pins and stitches removed day 14. Pins were all bent. It hurt like crazy before pins was removed very intensed. Now it feel like there is something pulling down between toes to the point it hurts to lay foot in medical boot or on floor. Walking in boot brings tears. Dr. Did say pins were bent gauze had tighten and pins and stitches were entangled that I had every point to be in pain, also a pin was on a nerve. Just wondering if your ever got better? Also Dr was one recommend all thur the south. I know me pushing up in bed did a number but shouldn’t some of the pain be gone?
