I'm in my early 50's and was diagnosed with having 3 kidneys at the age of 2. (50 yrs ago) I have 2 on my right side and one on my left all have their own separate tub leading to the bladder. In fact my bladder has an extension to it on the right side. I spent a good portion of my childhood in and out of Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle, WA. I've always had severe problems with constipation, but it seems to be getting even worse (which I never thought could be possible ) I've told my doctors at home but they ignore me when I ask if my extra kidney could be causing the problem. Instead they have diagnosed me with IBS and some form of Colitis. When I was younger I was told with age my third kidney would soon start to shrink and stop functioning, but at 40 when I had a hysterectomy it was still full size and fully functional. How can I get my doctors at home to listen to me and look into the fact that my kidneys could be causing a lot of my problems. My Adrenal Glands aren't functioning correctly either. With the snowball effect of my system not working correctly I'm gaining weight, I have Loss of energy, and either I'm craving starchy foods like chips all the time or I'm craving sweets. This yoyo back and forth is effecting my daily living. Please help
I have three kidneys also and I have had many UTI infections and bladder infections and they are onset very rapidly. I now am 53 yrs old and am having some health issues and have degenerative disease in my back and joint pain and have in the last few years began gaining weight that no matter how healthy I eat I keep gaining weight. I have had a partial hyestoectmy and have had some hot flashes really bad since I was27 and now I just feel tired and bad all the time. I am in need of some answers and the doctors just don't seem to hear when I talk and say how I am feeling but is this possible for some of this to be due to the adrenal glands on the 3 working kidneys. I also have some issues with my body being short on vitamins and minerals that it should be absorbing but isn't. Anybody got any answers or help?????
