I have experienced this when I've taken phentermine for weight loss AND had a caffeine drink like green tea. Without the tea, I don't have the issue. Basically, too much caffeine. I'm otherwise healthy.

I have had this for 8 years on and off it freaked me out i went to the hospital and they said it was 'pvc' premature ventricular contractions but it still scares me makes my hands sweat

Mine just started being more consistent about three days ago. Before I only had it happen like one time (as in a single strange beat) every 6 months or so. But I've had terrible acid reflux and heartburn with this last bout and didn't think they were connected since I suffer from heartburn normally.

Thanks for sharing your experience! I'm going through this right now and your post helps. Just like you, I am under 30 and it freaks me out. I have had it for 4 days now. I'm going to speak with my Dr. tomorrow if the fluttering/heart beat skipping persists. I have a little stress but nothing more than usual school stuff. I was thinking it was anxiety. Idk. How are you feeling these days?

I had a period of palpitations/arrhythmia approx five years ago aged 48 (Male). Blood tests came out ok. I also had seve (thunderclap) headaches when exerting myself which stopped when I stopped exerting myself. Doctor and I decided it was stress related, 'background' stress if you will. I hadn't realised how stressed I was in fact. I found it very frightening and depressing, after all the fear of something wrong with the heart shakes a person to the core. One has to suffer it to realise that. I work physically hard in the day and was generally fine then during this period. The problem started each day when I I tried to relax on a chair or bed, so much so that I feared sitting down and would walk around the room to prolong the feeling of being 'ok' rather than sit. The episode could also be brought on by stressful thoughts/things but to a lesser degree than simply relaxing. After a while, I'm sorry I can't recall how long, I started an involuntary cough. I realised I was able to stop/stifle this cough but decided to 'go with it' and see what happens if I let the cough 'out' each time. It was perhaps easier for me to do this as I work alone. I feel certain that this coughing helped 'resync' my heart and for it to 'relearn' to beat with normal regularity. I am 53 now and apart from the occasional missed beat have been fine even during very stressful periods like a recent close bereavement. My blood pressure was high at the time of the arrythmia episode. My doctor wanted to put me permanently on tablets to lower it but I wasnt happy about this. I bought my own blood pressure monitor and worked hard each day at relaxing and lowering my resting blood pressure readings. I did wthis with the doctors knowledge and guidance and supplied hi the readings. I was eventually able to lower my blood pressure naturally, without medication, and I tried to learn the feeling of relaxation necessary to achieve these new lower readings and for that to become instinctive for me. That's my experience. I hope it helps someone.

I experience the same thing...I have a murmur acting up. Maybe she has a murmur also. She should get checked out.

When my murmur causes a palpitation is freaks me out and I start coughing. Coughing is the bodies way of trying to "right" the palpitations. She should get to a Dr.

Your symptoms are exactly like mine , but the scarry part of this is I can't go out for dinner anymore ,because only small amount of fatty meal I ingest my palpitation + cough will start again.

I am having the same problems went to my primary care and had EKG test done it showed some skipping but he said it was normal. I get it so bad that i could feel it in my throat and i also get a sore throat when it happens, but not all the time my heart flutters so hard i feel it in my throat and it makes me cough. I hope some one can find out what causes this. It comes from out of no where no warning signs it just comes

I am 69 and have had the same problem having ECG tom, but the only thing i have been drinking the last three months is tonic water it has quinine in it , i looked up about this and the side effects that it can give you including .Irregular heart Rhythms. tinnitus in the ears, many other things, so i am wondering if this can be the cause.????

So anyone have any answers yet? I'm on Metorporol and Verapamil and its been helping, but then it came back after awhile. Also started (like someone else mentioned 42) when I got to be 41. I also think it still could be caused by this root canal I had and/or a sinusitis infection they found. Had them all my life but never constant or most every day - until about a year ago. UGHHHGHGHGHH

Same thing. I tried to work out cause I thought it was because I was getting lazy then bam... it happened. End of workout. Figured it was gonna throw me into a heart attack. Honestly why I don't work out anymore. Weird thing is I used to smoke pot all the time. Lol
