Please tell me more about spreading hep c. Can it be spread by utensils? I have read something about that there is no that high risk of infection with hepatitis c virus by sexual contact. Doesn’t sound so logical. If you are able to give me more explanations, would be grateful. Thanks in advance.

Hepatitis C can not be transmitted by casual interhuman contact, like shaking hands and hugging. It is also not spread by food, utensils, drinking glasses. Also infected mother does not spread it on baby by breastfeeding. Hepatitis C is found in blood and body fluids but in different concentrations, so there is true in opinion that the risk of spreading hep c by sexual contact is low in long term monogamous relation ships. Sharing needles, razors and the other ways of having contact with infected blood are with the highest risk of infection. And of course, risk sexual behavior.
