Can someone explain to me what Genital herpes appear like. Preferably someone who has them and knows what to look for I have a friend who has some symptoms but doesn’t know if they are herpes or something else and she can’t afford to go to the doctor.

Hey there usually herpes presents as a cluster of small blisters sitting on top of Redskin and then the blisters pop and get crusty for a going away. Usually they're only on one side of the body but they can be on both sides as well sometimes a person might experience burning or tingling in the area before the herpes appear

how long after being infected do the usually appear. Also how likely is it just to get one bump ?

It depends. sometimes you never have an outbreak othertimes you can get an outbreak a week or two after infection... usually they are clusters not just one bump
