Does everyone ceck their blood sugar level before driving? I have started praticing this method and have noticed that several times my sugar level is way above the normal limit. Has anyone ever had any problems due to high sugar and driving - feeling sick, nauseated, dizzy? I do not know whether I should correct my sugar to normal levels before going for  ride. An experience?

High blood sugar wouldn't be as much as an issue as a low blood sugar. Hypoglycemia could lead to confusion and unconsciousness where that risk would be minimal with hyperglycemia.  With a hypoglycemic episode, you risk getting into an accident and harming yourself and others. You should consult your physician as it is apparent that your blood sugars are not well-controlled if you find that "several times" you have had a blood sugar way above normal limits.  You can also watch your diet more carefully and change something in your exercise regimen to see if your blood sugars come down.
