July 2014 Welllll, here's another story to add to the list. I don't have one doubt it is in fact the silicone breast implants. How much of a coincidence do you need (100 women or a 1000 women). I had breast cancer at a fairly young age and didn't want to be disfigured. I got silicone breast implants and had to have a revision surgery a year later on one side to correct size to radiated breast. Shortly after the revision surgery a small rash the size of a dime to quarter developed on my ribs an inch or two below the breast on one side. I thought, as many others, it was a bug bite or poison ivy...but strange place, and, it developed overnight. Over a month later it finally disappeared only to return several months later in the exact same place. I leave it alone, it comes back in the same place again and again with sometimes only a couple red dots and faded dots from a year ago, and always itchy. I'm going to tell my doc (chief at Memorial Sloan) and get his take this next visit. But, what do we do? Take them out? As for me, I'd be terribly disfigured if I did. Then what kind of life? I have a hubby and two children still in school. I think some people are more prone to allergic reactions than others. Some may live a long happy life without any issues from silicone implants and others may have reactions. I guess it's a chance, but I pray for those with Lupus and other problematic reactions to what can only be the silicone implants. Hang in there everyone.

I had my breat aug in May of 2014. In october my right breast got infected while I was overseas. When I got back the surgeon told me that the implant had come out of the pocket they made and they would have to go in and correct it. Before we scheduled the surgery, I broke out in hives. The itching is soooo severe that I haven't slept for more than 3 hours in almost two weeks. The hives have gotten worse and have pretty much taken over my body. Have seen the doctor and taken all the norm. meds. I also started Accupuncture and chinese herbs. Nothing is helping.

Reading your reports should make me feel good after all I have had my silicone implants in since I was 27 years old and I am now 71.
For the past two years I have had various illnesses from Vertigo to now swelling of my tongue/lips/hands and feet. I like most of you have spent lots of money and time with doctors who have no idea what is wrong with me...Every time I have had a mammogram I told the technician to be careful...hum. Now I am ill and taking prednisone to stop the swelling..every time I try to get off it I swell up again and have to go to the emergency room or I will choke. How on earth do I get these things out....any suggestions? Do you think Medicare will pay?
I need to get them taken out for sure. Any suggestions please

I have hives and eczema now on both of my legs that won't go away. They've steadily gotten worse. I thought it was hormones. I think it is the cohesive gel implants. Did you get yours removed?

I also have hives on the tops of both of my legs and down one leg to my knee after cohesive gel implants that I got two years ago. They started on my lower arms soon after they were in two years ago. They will not go away and are beginning to take on a permanent appearance. I thought it was hormones. I am 45 and my period has been irregular since they were inserted and I thought it was due to perimenopause. My gyn does not think so. I've always had some minor allergies and chemical sensitivities and questioned the doctor on this issue before my implants. I was concerned about my immune system. Now I realize that's like asking a cigarette salesman if tobacco products can harm you. That old saying that "Silicone" is in lots of things is not a good argument. Nicotine is in foods we eat in small quantities. Putting pounds of silicone and other chemicals in a human body can not be healthy. And like cigarettes, not everyone who smokes them gets cancer, right? Does that mean it's good for you? I have called about explanting. Our stories sound similar.

Hi, Recently I have done my breast lift surgery at Dr. Asif Pirani’s Cosmetic and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Clinic at Toronto. I had drooping breasts prior to this surgery. Then my friend recommended me to go for the breast lift surgery which she had done once in the same clinic where I had the surgery. I got this procedure on an outpatient basis. This procedure really work for those women who are willing to stay young and fit in their body figure.
