It's 2:30am. I'm 7weeks post op and I just got woken up by hives all over my thighs, my back, my neck and chin. I couldn't find any allergy med in my house so I just took off all my clothes and baby wiped those areas and let my skin calm down a bit. It's helping so far. I had a feeling it's the compression band I have to wear 24/7 that irritated my skin during my sleep but now reading these posts is making me really concerned.

I am having the same issues, with bright red rash or hives, won't quit itching!! This is the only place I have this on my breasts. I had silicone implants put in 7 years ago, never had any issues!! Benadryl doesn't help just makes me sleepy!! What did you find out??

I had my implants for over 20 years with no problem what so ever, but decided to have them removed. Had an excellent surgeon,no trouble at all. Everything is healing nicely. Six weeks into recovery, I have rash all over the incision site. So, there are no implants, did not have a lift, it has to be connected to the surgery site. Maybe it is a healing process, I don't know. All I do know is that I have the same problem and no implants.Hope it goes away soon!

Hi All! Has anyone had any definitive answers on their rashes or hives? I had saline implants put in in 2002, then removed in 2011 and silicone put in. A year and a half later I started getting itchy patches on my ankles that would flare up here and there. I thought it was just hormones. I am currently 42. About 3 months ago I got a red, burning, itchy rash on one of my breasts. I went to a Dr. and they were not worried about it since it was isolated to one single area. They told me to try a new bra and to switch lotions, deodorant and laundry detergents. The rash did start to go away, but then it came back, but when it came back, it was on both breasts, moved to my throat area, back of my neck, my chest and also on my ankles and calfs (more of red bumps that look like bug bites on my legs). I do have an appointment with a dermatologist in a few days and also getting a physical with a blood work out a few days after that. I was just hoping to hear from any of you any answers you have received so I can go in a little more educated so I just don't get the brush off or and "I don't know?" answer. For the past 3 months I have been itchy and it is driving me crazy. I also feel very low energy, foggy, hands and feet swelling, teeth very sensitive and just not me. I am normally and fit and work out often. Right now, I am just tired and itchy I don't want to do much. Thank you in advance for any advice you have.

If i'm not mistaken, gastric bypass surgery uses a silicone band attached to the top part of the stomach.

I first had silicone implants which burst after they became hard as a rock. I went to another doctor to have them removed. he sugessted i have saline implants which I did. One of those burst and I couldnt afford another surgery till nov 11, 2015. He removed them but found that the doctor never removed the fist silicone implants which had crystalized and just improperly added two more. I am now suffering with chelitis glanularis-fibrosis which is now pre cancerous and angioedema. I couldn't have a tooth pulled yesterday because of the dentists fear that my throat would swell I could smother. I trusted my Doctors. i live in severe pain, tired all the time, cant remember. weary of life.

Fck btch, utricaria is the scientific term for hives. The people who've posted here are alleging that it could be the implants that cause these hives attacks. Doh

It looks as though all doctors/consultants say Hives is not a result of implants . . . However, why are so many people experiencing them post op? This includes myself as I developed Hives 3 weeks after my implant replacement procedure. Granted, I did not developed Hives after first op but replacements are a different make. Surely these cases can not be ignored and more research is required? I am managing with antihistamines and actually love my new breasts but would like to know for certain if the two are connected. How are you now?
