Hello MatRob,
You stated you were putting antibiotics on it? Did you mean to say you are taking antibiotics or are flushing the wound with antibiotic solutions?? By any chance are you diabetic? It sounds like you could possibly have a pressure ulcer? Does your job require you to sit for long extended periods of time? Did your doctor actually tell you to clean it with peroxide? I am just surprised because that is not normal procedure. Your skin cells are trying to heal itself and by applying peroxide you are further damaging the new skin cells thereby delaying healing. Hydrogen peroxide is never used in a hospital setting on open wounds. The doctor would need to get a tissue sample of your wound and have it tested to figure out what type of infection it is. Always, always use sterile technique when cleaning your wound. Wash hands for 20 seconds, create your sterile field, and wear sterile gloves. You don't want your infection to get worse.
