I have had difficult times passing stool. I do get bad stomach aches because of it all the time but the pain I'm worried about it a pain in my right hip. It's so unbearable and it usually lasts for upto 2 hours. I find it happens when I try to go to the bathroom or if I haven't gone but need too. It's been happening for over 15 years ( since I was 11) I just recently realized it seems to happen with or without bowel movements. I also will have just really tiny pebbles pass when I have this pain and a lot of slimy clear discharge from my rectum. Is this anything?
If it's been like that for 15 year it may just be a low fiber diet. You don't say how much fruit you eat, but at least 2 good sized pieces per day or a fiber supplement may change things.
If the stool it loose it's possibly an obstruction you'll need to see a doc about. But my money is on constipation.
It could be ibs or ibd you need to get checked out
I had similar issues from around the same age and was diagnosed with IBD in my mid 30's
I have been warned it will get worse as I get older and it has
It could be many things but I would get a few referrals from you doc and get some tests done
It took years of pain and seeming like a hypochondriac before I managed to get the right tests and a diagnosis
Good luck!
