HI! So this taste I just had two teeth pulled and I'm tasting this horrible taste too....it's cuz you basically have a huge hole in your mouth and it catches all that saliva and food and stuff gets stuck in there....what you can do is water down mouthwash and make sure to get it in where you had your teeth pulled

I got my 4 wisdom teeth removed as well as 2 molars on the bottom left and right. The bottom right literally looks like a cave and I try to rinse it our with mouth wash but it always tastes and smells disgusting no matter what. If I put a piece of gauze near the area the stuff comes out and is brown and smells so bad. The pain doesn't bother me but the smell and taste I just cannot deal. I made an appointment with my oral surgeon and i'm gonna ask for a syringe and i am also gonna start rinsing with salt water.

I had that taste as they ground away some of my problem wisdom teeth, but the smell/taste came back after day 3. I never have tasted something so nasty and the salt water rinse does nothing. I had problems stopping the bleeding and I was advised to chew/suck on tea bags to promote clotting. This is what I have been doing to keep the taste down, but still on day 6......

Yes, I have the saw exact thing. I am pretty sure it is dry socket, which just means that the blood clot formed was dislodged. It's painful, trust me, my jaw has been KILLING me. And the taste is awful! I read to take ibuprofen for about 5-6 days and it should go away. Type in dry socket and read the symptoms and treatment. Sounds like what we have!

You probably have a dry socket since you sipped through straws and ate hard foods. I wouldn't be surprised since the reason you're NOT supposed to do any of that stuff is because it gives you a dry socket

I had this bad taste starting around day 5, and it mostly went away after I went to my follow-up appointment and the surgeon irrigated the holes with the syringe. He said that it's fairly common when you have food getting stuck in the holes. The taste has gone away about 95% now since I have been using the syringe on my own with tap water, salt water, and sometimes mouthwash diluted with water.

Listen carefully. Do not go buying shringes. Make an appointment with your dentist or an emergency dentist £19.70 for the treatment only. YOU HAVE A DRY SOCKET. This can become infected. Your dentist will clean the socket and possibly give you antibiotics. If you have a tooth extracted do not use a straw as this can cause it.
The dentist may pack the tooth also. YOU MUST GO TO YOUR DENTIST.
