i had sex on the first day of my period, and they usually last for 5 days. however, this period lasted 5 days, then i didn't bleed at all on day 6, yesterday was days 7 and i bled a little bit. i haven't bled much or at all since, and i heard implantation bleeding can occur 6-7 days after sex/conception, and i've had a little bit of back and abdominal cramps. yesterday i also had a really bad headache and was nauseated all morning when all i had was coffee, and same with today. its only been 8 days since i had sex, but could i be pregnant? i've only been on the pill for a month, and i didn't take it at the same time everyday. we used a condom, but it was an unreliable/from the stone ages type one. so could i be pregnant? and if so, when can i take a test to make sure? i even feel pregnant
Hi,
Firstly if you had sex on the first day of your period, then unless you are ovualting slightly before your period, you are unlikely to be pregnant.
Most women ovulate around 14 days before their period, give or take a couple of days.
If you are on the pill, then you don't have to take it exactly the same time each day, although I wouldn't waver it much more than 3 hours. You also used a condom, so again even if it was from the stoneage! It is still a certain amount of protection. Did you notice the condom break, or leak at all?
I would hazard a guess that you aren't pregnant, and maybe just coming down with a bug or virus. However conception has been known to take place against all the odds, so if you really are worried, I suggest you see your GP or pharmacist who may be able to advise you further.
And if you don't want to get pregnant then sort out a reliable form of contraception! Either remember to take your pill, or pop to your family planning clinic and get some new condoms ;o)
Hope everything works out well for you.
Julie.

i ovualte late, the 12th [the day i had sex] was the last day of my ovulation. i have strange cycles, thats why i was on the pill. a few days i took it later than 3 hours than i was supposed to. he didn't say if it leaked, i wasn't really paying attention. hmm.
i still feel nauseated from time to time, is it ok to take the test on the 30th? would that be enough time if conception would be around the 12th?
